That the mixture ratio is (1:2:3 1/2) (cement:sand:gravel)

1 sack of cement = 94 pounds(lbs.) = 43 kilos
2 cubic feet of sand = 200 pounds(lbs.) = 91 kilos
3 1/2 cubic feet of gravel
5 gallons of water per sack of cement

How many pounds of sand in 143 cubic feet?
Ans. 14,300 lbs. Sand has a density of 100 lbs per cubic foot.

How much does a cubic foot of sand weigh?
Ans. sand (dry) = 110 lb/cu. ft.
sand (fine) = 125 lb/cu. ft.
sand (moist)= 130 lb/cu. ft.
