Nag-renew ako ng PRC license ko today kasi nabalitaan kong no need na ng CPD (Continuing Professional Development) and COGS (Certificate of Good Standing) for ECT and ECE.
Habang nagsa-submit ako ng form sa PRC LERIS website, may isang tanong dun:
“Are you currently practicing your profession?”
Napangiti ako.
With happiness in my heart, I clicked NO.
Pero ni-renew ko pa rin.
Kasi kahit hindi ko na siya pinapractice ngayon,
pinangarap ko ‘to.
I worked hard for that license.
At hanggang ngayon, isa ‘yun sa mga living proof na kaya ko.
Ngayon, hindi man ako working as an Electronics Engineer,
pwede siguro akong matawag na Automations Engineer. Haha!
Currently, I work remotely as a freelance OBM (Online Business Manager).
Helping businesses streamline their operations, optimize workflows,
and build systems that give them time and freedom.
I didn’t see it coming.
Sabi nga ng mentor ko, si CC:
“Puntahan mo muna.”
And I did.
6 years ago, akala ko sa ABS-CBN ako tatanda. Haha!
Pero nagbago lahat nung pandemic.
Sinubukan ko maging OFW sa Japan—pero I realized, it’s not for me.
Pag-uwi ko, alam ko na agad:
di na ako pang-corporate.
Good thing I had freelancing friends who introduced me to this world.
I chose a different path—and from there…
Things changed. Life changed.
And now…
✔️ I don’t need to wait for leave approvals just to spend time with my family
✔️ I can travel whenever I want, not just on weekends
✔️ I bought my first car
✔️ I got my dream bike
✔️ I can work from anywhere
✔️ I have peace of mind
✔️ And most of all—I’m not just surviving, I’m finally living
Wouldn’t it be nice?
✔️ To stop feeling guilty when you’re not being “productive”
✔️ To rest without asking for permission
✔️ To travel without stressing over your VL balance
✔️ To not feel stuck in a job just because “sayang ang sweldo”
✔️ To build a life where you actually feel free—not just on weekends
✔️ To finally wake up without the heavy feeling of “ito na naman?”
If you’ve been thinking about shifting—maybe this is your sign.
If you’re an OFW or a corporate slave wanting to explore something outside the usual path…
Comment “FREEDOM” below.
I’ve been thinking of conducting a free workshop or mini course on how I did it.
Baka ito na ‘yung sign.
Cheers, mga ka-adulting.
We deserve to live, not just work to survive.
