Ang mga buto sa likod po natin mula batok (cervical spine) hanggang malapit pwet pelvic spine) pati na rin sa may alakalakan (back of the knees) ay may mga natural na kurba. Ano man pagbabago sa mga ito ay maaaring magdudulot ng pagkaipit ng mga ugat (pinched nerves) at makaramdam ng pananakit ng kalamnan, pamamanhid, pangangalay o panghihina. 


Masakit ba ang likod niyo paggising sa umaga? Baka dahil sa maling posisyon ng pagtulog po yan.

Cervical Radiculopathy

Ang cervical radiculopathy ay ang medical term kung saan ang isang ugat sa buto ng batok (cervical spine) ay namaga o napinsala, na nagreresulta sa pagbabago ng normal na paggana ng nerves at humahantong sa pamamanhid, pagbabago sa mga reflexes, pagsakit o kahinaan na maaaring magmula sa leeg patungo sa balikat, braso, kamay, o mga daliri.

Kirot ng braso.

 May pasyente ako na dumadaing ng pangangalay at kirot ng braso. Panay ang pamasahe niya sa braso pero mali po ito. Kasi nasa batok ang problema dulot ng arthritis sa cervical spine o buto ng batok (Cervical spondylosis). Yung naiipit na ugat ang dahilan ng pangangalay at sakit ng braso. Yan po yung tinatawag na referred pain. Depende sa ugat na naipit (nerve compression) yung maaaring lugar ng pagkirot o manhid nito.


Referred pain, also called reflective pain, is pain perceived at a location other than the site of the painful stimulus. An example is the case of ischemia brought on by a myocardial infarction (heart attack), where pain is often felt in the neck, shoulders, and back rather than in the chest, the site of the injury.

Remember, nagiisa ka lng, one life, you better take care of yourself.

Ano lng nman ba yun 1 or 2hrs para ireview mo yun trades mo at ijournal diba... Importante yun sa atin, mapa Investor or Trader ka man. Dapat alam natin yun progress ng stock at sarili natin kung meron bang improvement at kung ano ang dapat itama at palaguin pa. Kumikita ba tayo, lumalaki ba yun capital or nalulugi...


You do it for yourself, for your goals, dreams and reasons...

Para saan nman ito? Ito ay para sa spiritual being mo, your relationship to God. Isama na natin ang mental being mo.


Are you okay? Are you happy or sad? Emotionally drain or tired?


Admit it, napakaingay ng mundo na ito at super daming kontrabida at toxic. Kailangan mong magdetoxify at alisin lahat ng bad vibes na narinig, nakita at nababasa mo.

Sinusitis

Acupressure

 Acupressure Point for Stress & Anxiety


Subukin niyo po itong simpleng paraan para mabawasan ang stress niyo. Pag galit o naiinis kayo huminga ng malalim at pindutin yang lugar na nasa image. 


Instructions:

Take the thumb of your opposite hand and apply pressure to this point until you feel mild discomfort dapat kay konting kirot maramdaman sa pagdiin. Don’t hurt yourself, but make sure you apply enough pressure to feel an interuption of normal bloodflow.


Hold this pressure point, gently pressing your thumb in a tight circular motion for 2-3 minutes. Do this to both hands and you’ll feel relief from your anxiety immediately.

Panic disorder.

 Panic Disorder


Ang Panic Disorder ay isang karamdamang pang-kaisipan (mental disorder) kung saan may paulit-ulit o pasumpong-sumpong na atake ng panic — Panic Attacks (sobrang nerbiyos). Isa itong uri ng Anxiety Disorder.


Mga posibleng nararamdaman: 

1. palpitations (kumakabog ang dibdib, nararamdaman ang tibok ng puso, mabilis ang tibok)

2. pinagpapawisan ng malamig/malapot, nanginginig/nangangatog

3. hindi makahinga

4. sumasakit ang dibdib/nagsisikip ang dibdib

5. parang nasusuka o sumasakit ang tiyan

6. parang hihimatayin

7. nanlalamig

8. namamanhid ang ilang bahagi ng katawan; at parang nangingilo ang mga kamay o paa. 

9. pakiramdam mo para ka ng “mababaliw” o “bibigay na” o “feeling ko mamatay na ako.” 


Ano ang kaibahan ng Panic Disorder sa ibang mga Anxiety Disorder?

Karaniwan, walang trigger ang mga panic attack talagang dumarating lang ito ng pabugso-bugso ng walang trigger o specific na dahilan.


Tulong Pangsarili

• Huminga ng maayos. Ang paghinga sa tulong ng iyong diaphragm o tiyan ay makakatulong na mabawasan ang pagkabahala o pagkatakot na nararanasan.


• Pakalmahin ang iyong sarili. 

Ang pagpapakalma sa sarili mo ay makakatulong din na matapos na ang nerbyos sa mismong oras ng pag-atake. Sa panahon na panatag na ang iyong kalooban at isip, pag-aralan ang mga bagay na pwedeng makapagpakalma sa iyo.


• Irelax ang iyong katawan hangga’t maaari. Ang pag relax ng iyong katawan ay makatutulong na mahinto o mabawasan ang pagpapalabas ng katawan mo ng stress response. Kapag ang tugon na ito ng katawan ay mahinto o mabawasan, makakatulong ito para humupa na ang iyong nerbyos.


• Maglakad lakad ka muna. 

Ang paglalakad-lakad o pamamasyal ay nakatutulong na mahinto ang pagpapalabas ng katawan mo ng stress response.


• Mag isip ng positibo. 

Baguhin ang iyong pag-iisip at galaw sa kasalukuyan. Tandaan din na ang pag-atake ng nerbyos ay palaging natatapos din naman. Habang kinakalma mo ang iyong sarili, mas lumiliit ang posibilidad na ang iyong mga pangamba ay mauwi sa nerbyos.


• Bawasan ang stress, dagdagan ang pahinga at bigyang panahon ang iyong katawan na kumalma. 


Treatment

Sa pamamagitan ng gamot (anti-anxiety) at psychotherapy. Hindi po agad-agad nawawala ang mga sintomas pero ito ay gumagaling.

Gout

 Ang gout ay isang uri ng sakit kung saan namamaga ang kasukasuan. Karaniwan, ito ay nakakaapekto sa hinlalaki sa paa at sa iba pang mga kasukasuan sa kamay at tuhod. Kilala rin ito bilang gouty arthritis. 


Ang pangunahing sanhi ng gout ay ang pagkakaroon ng sobrang taas na uric acid sa dugo. Kapag hindi ito naibaba o naipapalabas ng iyong mga bato, naiipon ang uric acid sa iyong dugo at bumubuo ng kidney stones. Bagamat hindi lahat ng taong may mataas ang blood uric acid  ay nagkakaroon ng gout attack, maaaring pa ring maranasan ang mga sintomas nito tulad na matinding sakit sa isang bahagi ng iyong buto sa kasukasuan at nahihirapan kang igalaw ang bahaging ito. Pamumula, mainit, pananakit, at pamamaga ng kasukasuan, pagkati ng kasukasuan, matinding sakit sa apektadong bahagi ng katawan. 


Paano maiiwasan ang gout?

Maiiwasan ang gout sa pamamagitan ng wastong pagkain, pag inum ng sapat na bilang ng tubig kada araw, pagpapanatiling nasa kondisyon ang katawan at kalusugan.


Iba pang mga paraan upang maiwasan ang gout:

• Siguraduhin wasto at balanse ang pagkain; ang pagkain ng mga nakakataba ay nakakalala ng kondisyon


• Kumain ng gulay


• Mag-ehersisyo; pinapatibay nito ang muscles, kasu-kasuan, at buong katawan


• Siguraduhing tama ang timbang;  ang pagkasobra sa timbang (overweight) ay nakatataas ng posibilidad na magka-gout


• Iwasang uminom ng sobrang alak; ang alkohol ay nakakadulot ng gout


• Iwasan ang mga pagkaing mataas sa purine kagaya ng isda, sardinas, at karne; ang purine ay nakakadulot ng gout. 


• Uminom ng gatas; pinapatibay nito ang mga buto.

Ang ihi na naiwan sa pantog ay pinarami ang mga bakterya nang mabilis. Kapag ang ihi ay bumalik sa ureter at bato, ang mga nakakalason na sangkap ay maaaring humantong sa mga impeksyon sa bato, pagkatapos ay ang mga impeksyon sa ihi, pagkatapos ay nephritis at maging ang uremia. 3. Huwag kumain ng sobrang karne. Ang sobrang protina sa iyong diyeta ay nakakapinsala sa iyong mga bato. Ang digestion ng protina ay gumagawa ng ammonia, isang napaka-mapanirang lason para sa mga bato. Karamihan sa karne ay katumbas ng mas maraming pinsala sa bato.


4. Huwag Uminom ng labis na caffeine. Ang caffeine ay isang sangkap ng maraming mga sodas at malambot na inumin. Ito ay nagdaragdag ng iyong presyon ng dugo at ang iyong mga bato ay nagsisimulang magdusa. Kaya dapat mong bawasan ang dami ng coke at kape na inumin mo araw-araw.


5. Uminom ng sapat na tubig. Ang aming mga bato ay dapat na mahusay na hydrated upang maisagawa nang maayos ang kanilang mga tungkulin. Kung hindi tayo masyadong uminom, ang mga lason ay maaaring magsimulang mag-ipon sa dugo dahil walang sapat na likido upang maubos ang mga ito sa pamamagitan ng mga bato. Uminom ng higit sa 10 baso ng tubig sa isang araw. May isang madaling paraan upang suriin kung umiinom ka ng sapat na tubig: tingnan ang kulay ng iyong ihi; mas magaan ang kulay, mas mabuti.


6. Paggamot sa huli. Gamutin nang maaga ang lahat ng iyong mga problema sa kalusugan at regular na suriin ang iyong kalusugan. Tumulong tayo. protektahan ka ng Diyos at ang iyong pamilya laban sa lahat ng mga sakit ngayong taon.


★ Mangyaring, bago mo laktawan ang post na ito, tulungan ang iyong mga kaibigan kamag-anak sa pamamagitan ng pagbabahagi sa kanila or pag share.

1. Gawing prayoridad ang pagiging maalalahanin sa kapakanan ng iba. 

Sa halip na sabihin sa anak: "Ang pinakamahalagang bagay ay na ikaw ay masaya," ang nararapat na sabahin ay "Ang pinakamahalagang bagay ay ikaw ay mabait." Siguraduhin na sila ay may pag-galang tuwing nakikipag-usap sa matatanda kahit na sila ay pagod, nagambala, o nagalit. 


2. Sanayin ang bata sa pagmamalasakit at pasasalamat. 

Ang mga bata ay kailangang magsanay sa pag-aalaga sa iba at magpahayag ng pasasalamat sa mga nagmamalasakit sa kanila. Ipinakikita ng mga pag-aaral na ang mga taong nasa ugali ng pagpapahayag ng pasasalamat ay mas magiging kapaki-pakinabang, mapagbigay, mahabagin, at mapagpatawad. At malamang ay maging maligaya at malusog din sila.


3. Maging isang modelo o role model sa pagiging mabait. 

Kailangan nating gawin ang tapat at tama para gayahin tayo ng mga bata. Ngunit hindi ito nangangahulugan na perpekto tayo sa lahat ng oras. Kailangan nating kilalanin ang ating mga pagkakamali at mga depekto. Kailangan din nating igalang ang pag-iisip ng mga bata at pakinggan ang kanilang pananaw.


4. Gabayan ang bata kapag nagagalit o naiinis sila. 

Narito ang isang simpleng paraan huminahon ang bata: hilingin sa iyong anak na huminto, kumuha ng malalim na hininga sa pamamagitan ng ilong at huminga nang palabas sa bibig (deep breathing). Sanayin ang anak maging kalmado kapag nakita na siya ay napagod. Pagkaraan ng ilang sandali magsisimula siyang gawin ito sa kanyang sarili upang maipahayag niya ang kanyang damdamin sa tamang paraan.

Maraming posibleng dahilan ng pagsakit ng ulo. Kadalasan, dahil ito sa biglaang mga pagbabago ng mga activities at chemical reactions sa iyong ulo.

What is a sore throat?


A sore throat is a painful, dry, or scratchy feeling in the throat.


Most sore throats are caused by infections, or by environmental factors like dry air. Although a sore throat can be uncomfortable, it’ll usually go away on its own.


🍎 Sore throats are divided into types, based on the part of the throat they affect:


1. Pharyngitis affects the area right behind the mouth. 

2. Tonsillitis is swelling and redness of the tonsils, the soft tissue in the back of the mouth.

3. Laryngitis is swelling and redness of the voice box, or larynx. 


🍎 Sore throat symptoms

The symptoms of a sore throat can vary depending on what caused it. A sore throat can feel:

Ang uri ng gamot na ito ay tumutulong sa paglalabas ng plema. Pinalalambot nito ang makapal at malagkit na plema na syang humaharang sa daluyan ng hangin, upang ito’y mas madaling ilabas at tuluyang mawala ang ubo. Karaniwang halimbawa niyo ay ang Ambroxol at Carbocistine.


😷 Antitussive


Ang antitussive ay isang uri ng gamot na pumipigil sa ubo. Ito ay kadalasang inirerekomenda kung ang ubo’y nakakasagabal sa pagtulog o nagiging dahilan ng pagiging hindi komportable ng isang tao sa araw-araw niyang gawain. Ito rin ay madalas na ihinahalo sa expectorant para sa mas epektibong lunas. Ang karaniwang halimbawa ng antitussive drug ay dextromethorphan.

Ubo cough

 Maraming Klase ng Ubo


Alamin ang iba’t ibang klase na ubo. Ang ibang uri ng ubo ay hindi mapanganib at nagdadala lamang ng bahagyang sagabal at merong naman na maaaring galing sa mga malubhang sakit.


😷 Productive Cough (maplemang ubo) – Ito ay may kasamang sipon at plema. Kalimitang nagbabara ang lalamunan at daluyan ng hininga kapag may productive cough kaya may kasama pahirap sa paghinga.


😷 Non-Productive Cough (tuyong ubo) – Ito ay walang kasamang plema at maaaring manggaling sa impeksyon, virus at allergy.


😷 Short Term o Acute Cough (panandaliang ubo) – Ito ay karaniwang gumagaling sa loob ng 1-2 linggo. Ito ay maaaring nakakahawa depende sa karamdamang nagdulot nito. Halimbawa: Acid reflux (GERD) dahil sa itritation sa lalamunan (larynigitis).


😷 Sub Acute Cough - Ang ubong ito ay nananatili pagkatapos gumaling sa ubo’t sipon at iba pang impeksyon sa baga at daluyan ng hangin. Tumatagal ito ng mga 3 hanggang 8 na linggo.


😷 Chronic Cough (matagalang ubo) – Ito ay pabalik-balik at maaaring umabot ng 8 na linggo. Ang halimbawa nito ay ang bronchitis, emphysema, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) at asthma.

Malunggay

 KUMAIN NG MALUNGGAY

Payo ni Doc Willie Ong


ALAM ba ninyo na napakasustansya ng malunggay? Bukod sa gulay ng malunggay, marami rin ngayong nagbebenta ng malunggay bread, malunggay noodles at iba pang pagkain na may sangkap na malunggay.


Very healthy ang malunggay at madali lang itanim. Ang sabi nga ng mga negosyante ay baka malunggay ang magpalakas ng ekonomiya ng Pilipinas. Alamin natin ang galing ng malunggay.


Maraming bitamina


Ang dahon ng malunggay ay punumpuno ng calcium at iron. Ang calcium ay nagpapatigas ng ating buto at panlaban sa osteoporosis. Kung ikaw naman ay anemic o kulang sa dugo, sagana ang malunggay sa iron na nagpapadami ng dugo.


Mataas din sa protina, potassium, vitamin A at vitamin C ang malunggay. Ang mga bitaminang ito ay tinatawag na anti-oxidants. Ito yung lumalaban sa stress at nagpapabagal sa pag-edad ng ating katawan.


Kumpara sa ibang prutas at gulay, ang malunggay ay may mas maraming bitamina. Super-gulay talaga ang malunggay. Ang problema lang ay dapat masanay ang bata na kumain nito.


Ang prutas ng malunggay ay masustansya rin at mataas sa carbohydrates, calcium, iron at phosphorus.


At dahil sa bitamina nito, ang malunggay ngayon ang pinapakain sa mga payat at malnourished na bata. Mura at masustansya ang malunggay. Puwedeng-puwede sa mga feeding program ng gobyerno at mga volunteer groups.


Para sa maysakit


1. Pampalakas ng katawan — Kumain ng 1 tasang dahon ng malunggay araw-araw para mapunuan ang bitaminang kailangan ng katawan.


2. Pamparami ng gatas ng ina — Kapag kulang ang gatas ng ina, kumain ng 1 tasang dahon araw-araw. Puwede rin pakuluan ang dahon at gawing tsaa at inumin.


3. Para sa constipated — Kapag ika’y tinitibi, kumain ng 1-2 tasang dahon sa gabi. Makatutulong ito sa pag-normal ng iyong pagdudumi.


4. Itapal sa sugat — Kapag ika’y may sugat, puwedeng ilagay ang dinurog na malunggay leaves sa sugat. Hugasan muna ang dahon at durugin ito. Lagyan ng konting tubig at initin. Pagkatapos ay ilapat ang malunggay “paste” sa sugat.


Marami pang kabutihang taglay ang malunggay kaya magtanim nito sa inyong bakuran. Alamin kung paano gagawing negosyo ang malunggay.

 How to improve blood flow in your body?


1. Exercise

- Exercise whenever you can to boost your circulation. Get into the habit of finding activities you enjoy doing, as any type of physical activity that gets your blood pumping is good. You can walk, bike, run, swim or anything else that you like. If your circulation is already poor, start by doing some gentle exercise and move on gradually to something a bit more challenging.


2. Stretch

- Make sure that every hour you get up to stretch your body or do small exercise for 3-5 minutes. This is especially important for people who sit at the desk all day and don’t have the habit of walking around. You can try doing little arm circles, touching your toes with your hands or have a short walk. It’s important not to stay too long in one position and take regular breaks.


3. Massage

- Massage, like exercise, increases circulation by stimulating blood flow in the area being massaged. Many times you feel certain part of your body to be tight and tense and you may even have inflammation. By massaging these muscles, you will release natural occurring toxins within the body and achieve better blood circulation. 


4. Elevate your legs

- Elevating your legs is a good way to increase your circulation and relax at the same time, and it gives you a break from standing for extended periods of time.


5. Healthy eating

- Eat healthy foods and avoid unhealthy foods. Eat fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats (found in fish oil, olive oil, nuts and seeds). Avoid consuming processed foods, foods rich in sugar or salt, and foods rich in unhealthy fats (saturated and trans fats). Also eat spicy foods, such as cayenne pepper, garlic and ginger, as they increase your body’s temperature, which increases blood flow.


6. Drink enough water and reduce caffeine and alcohol consumption

- Staying hydrated during the day is essential for the organs to perform their daily functions. When you drink enough water, oxygen levels in your blood increase, leading to better circulation and improving your overall health. Most experts recommend consuming 8-12 glasses of water a day. It’s also beneficial to reduce caffeine and alcohol consumption.


7. Hydrotherapy

- Try taking a hot bath or a hot shower. Hot water helps to relax tense muscles and increases blood circulation and allows oxygen to flow more smoothly throughout the body. 


8. Use hot and cold treatment

- This involves alternating between cold and warmth on the affected body part. Apply heat, such as hot packs for 30 seconds or so, and then switch to cold pack. This could even be a bowl of warm water and a different bowl of colder water.


9. Quit smoking

- If you can, quit smoking. I know it’s not easy, otherwise it wasn’t the problem of millions of people. Not only is smoking bad for your health, nicotine is among the leading causes of circulation problems.


10. Manage stress levels

- Over time stress can have negative effects on the body’s circulation. When we are stressed, the stress effect shifts blood flow away from the skin to support the heart and muscle tissues. Find ways to relieve stress, such as regular exercise, listening to a music, breathing exercises, meditation or psychotherapy.

Tumutukoy ang mga palpitation sa pakiramdam na ang iyong puso ay mabilis o iregular ang pagtibok. Inilalarawan ito ng ibang tao na "bumabayo" o "lumalaktaw na mga tibok". Maaaring mangyari ang mga palpitation sa mga taong may sakit sa puso, ngunit pwede ring mangyari sa mga malusog na tao.


Mga kaugnay-sa-pusong sanhi:

• Arrhythmia (isang pagbabago mula sa normal na rhythm ng puso)

• Sakit sa mga balbula ng puso


Mga hindi-kaugnay-sa-pusong sanhi:

• Ilang mga gamot (gaya ng mga inhaler para sa hika at pang-alis ng bara ng ilong)

• Ilang mga supplement na herbal, energy drinks at pills, at mga pampabawas ng timbang na pills

 How To Determine Whether You Have Diabetes, Prediabetes or Neither


Doctors can determine whether a patient has a normal metabolism, prediabetes or diabetes in one of three different ways - there are three possible tests:


The A1C test

- at least 6.5% means diabetes

- between 5.7% and 5.99% means prediabetes

- less than 5.7% means normal


The FPG (fasting plasma glucose) or FBS (fasting blood sugar) test

- at least 126 mg/dl means diabetes

- between 100 mg/dl and 125.99 mg/dl means prediabetes

- less than 100 mg/dl means normal

An abnormal reading following the FPG means the patient has impaired fasting glucose (IFG)


The OGTT (oral glucose tolerance test) 

- at least 200 mg/dl means diabetes

- between 140 and 199.9 mg/dl means prediabetes

- less than 140 mg/dl means normal

An abnormal reading following the OGTT means the patient has impaired glucose tolerance (IGT).

 Carvey Maigue of Mapua University has been shortlisted for the James Dyson Award 2020 for his system called AuREUS, a device that transforms rotten fruit and vegetables into clean, renewable electricity.


His invention was among 1,800 entries from young inventors and design engineers from 27 countries around the world. The brief was simple: Design something that solves a problem.

Carvey Ehren Maigue, a student from Mapua University, has been named the first-ever Global Sustainability Winner at the James Dyson Award.
His invention? A new material made from rotten fruit that converts UV light into electricity, and can be used for window panels, as well as walls.
Maigue was handpicked by founder James Dyson himself.
"As a farmer, I have always been concerned about covering fertile, food-producing, agricultural land in photovoltaic cells. Carvey’s invention demonstrates a convincing way to create clean energy on existing structures, like windows, within cities," said Dyson.
What particularly won Dyson over was Maigue’s persistence.
"AuREUS is impressive in the way it makes sustainable use of waste crops, but I’m particularly impressed by Carvey’s resolve and determination," said Dyson. "Having failed to make the national stage of the Award in 2018, he stuck at it and further developed his idea— this will be a very important character trait as he embarks on the long road to commercialization."
Maigue calls the award, "one of the greatest achievements I’ve made."
The son of a single mother, Maigue says he didn’t want to burden her with having to worry about his education.
"I told her I’ll find ways to put myself through school," he said. To pay for his tuition fees at Mapua University, he took on protyping projects and other jobs, and "sometimes I come close to the target amount of money, sometimes I don’t."
He’s now 27 years old, and about two semesters from graduating, which likely will now happen soon. The Dyson Sustainability Award comes with a cash award of 30,000 pounds, or P1.9 million.
Maigue's invention was among 1,800 entries from young inventors and design engineers from 27 countries around the world.
His AuREUS system makes use of crop waste to absorb stray UV light from the sun and converts it to electricity.
The system is used for windows and walls for buildings. AuREUS devices use the same technology derived from the phenomena that creates the Northern lights. High energy particles are absorbed by luminescent particles that re-remit them as visible light.
Similar types of particles that are derived from fruit and vegetables were suspended in a resin substrate. When hit by sunlight, the particles absorb and emit visible light along the edges. When this light is captured, it can be converted to electricity.
The criteria for the compeitition was straightforward: Design something that solves a problem.
Maigue definitely did.

✔️ Stress – maraming uri ng stress na pwedeng makapagpahina ng katawan. Ito rin ay pwedeng maging sanhi o dahilan ng malalang mga sakit. Ang stress ay dapat na gamutin kung ito ay nagiging problema na sa pang araw araw na gawain sa trabaho, bahay at sa iba pang aktibidad.


✔️ Anemia – Ang pagkakaroon ng anemia ay kadalasang nagiging sanhi ng panghihina ng katawan at mabilis na pagkapagod. Ang kondisyong ito kung saan kulang ang red blood cells o hemoglobin para magdala ng sapat na oxygen sa tissues ng katawan.


✔️ Weakness and Fatigue (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) – ito ay kondisyon ng katawan kung saan ang sobrang pagkapagod ay nakakaubos ng enerhiya. Ang taong may fatigue ay madalas din na may nararamdamang sakit gaya ng sakit sa ulo, sakit ng mga kasu-kasuan at sakit ng katawan.


✔️ Diabetes – ito ay sanhi na mataas na sugar sa dugo. Ang taong may diabetes ay dapat na magpakonsulta sa doktor, dahil kung hindi ito maagapan ay maaaring magdulot ng komplikasyon. Isa sa mga sintomas ng diabetes ay ang panghihina at panlalambot.


✔️ Problema sa Nerves o mga ugat – ilan sa mga Pilipino ang nakakaranas ng sobrang panghihina kapag may problema sa nerves o kaugatan. Ito ay maaaring mangyari kung ang naapektuhan ay ang spinal cord.


✔️ Impeksiyon – ang impeksiyon sa katawan ay pwedeng magdulot ng panghihina. Kung ang isang tao ay may lagnat at iba pang sintomas, agad na magpakonsulta sa doktor upang sumailalim sa mga pagsusuri at mabigyan ng karampatang lunas.


✔️ Cancer – nagdudulot ito ng pagtamlay at panghihina ng katawan kapag ito ay nasa malubhang kalagayan na. Kapag kumalat na ang cancer cells, maaaring bumaba ang timbang ng isang tao, mawalan ng gana sa pagkain at tumamlay.


✔️ HIV – ang taong may HIV ay posibleng makaranas ng panghihina. Ito ay dahil sa ang immune system o resistensiya ay nagsisimula nang maging mahina dahil sa virus.


✔️ Diarrhea –  Ang diarrhea o LBM ay nakakapanghina ng katawan lalo na kung ang isang tao ay kulang na sa tubig. Dapat uminom ng sapat na dami ng tubig para mapalitan ang nawala sa duming inilalabas natin sa katawan.


✔️ Malnutrisyon – ang kakulangan sa sustansiya ng kinakain ay hindi lamang nangyayari sa mga bata. Ang ordinaryong tao ay pwedeng magkaroon ng kakulangan sa sustansiya sa katawan dahil sa hindi pagkain ng wasto at tama.

 Blessed to be a blessing. 


Me and my angels once again cooked for some of the typhoon victims ftom Marikina today and we’re grateful that people also donated for today’s feeding. Thank you to friend for your generosity. May God bless you back a hundred-fold. 


No matter how big or small, what’s important is your genuine desire to help the people in need. I hope that all of us will have the means and the heart to do our part.

GERD only in your mind.

 Heartburn o GERD (GastroEsopahageal Reflux Disease or Acid Reflux)


ANG heartburn ay isang kon­­­disyon na walang kaugna­yan sa puso. 


Tinawag lamang itong heartburn sapagkat parang may nananakit sa dibdib kapag nakararanas nito ang isang tao.


Ano ang sintoma?


■ May mainit o “burning sensation” sa dakong dibdib, galing sa dakong sikmura hanggang sa leeg


■ May bumalik na maasim o mapait na likido sa bibig at lalamunan, lalo na kung nakahiga


■ Nahihirapang lumunok


■ Pag-ubo o waring pagkasamid


■ Pananakit ng dibdib


Ang nala­lasahang maasim o mapait ay stomach acid na muling umakyat pabalik sa lalamunan. Sa pagdaan nito sa esophagus, nakakaramdam ng “burning sensation” (parang sinisilaban) sa dibdib. Nagkataong magkatapat ang esophagus at puso, kaya tinawag itong “heartburn.”


Hindi ito karaniwang nangyayari sapagkat ang pagkaing nalunok na at nagtungo na sa sikmura (stomach) ay di na dapat pang muling umakyat pataas. Mayroon kasing pamiit (sphincter) sa taas na bahagi ng stomach para pigilan ang pagbalik ng pagkaing nalusaw na sa lalamunan. Kapag nadeposito na sa stomach ang pagkain, sumasara na ang pamiit na ito. Yun ang normal na proseso.


Pero may pagkakataong nagiging gastado o humina ang naturang pamiit. O kaya’y waring nalilito ang naturang pamiit kung kaya bigla itong bumubukas kung kaya’t nakakapuslit ang ilang acid paakyat sa lalamunan. Hindi natin ito inaasahan kung kaya’t napapabalikwas tayo sa pagkakahiga at napapa­ubo dahil sa iritasyon sa lalamunan. At  nalalasahan natin ang maasim na acid sa ating bibig.


Kung paminsan-minsan lang ito nangyayari, baka kaila­ngan lamang na magkaroon ng pagbabago sa inyong karaniwang ginagawa. Pero kung naging madalas na ito, puwedeng magasgas at mairita ang esophagus na posibleng mauwi sa esophagitis. Nagbubunga ito ng mahirap na paglunok at pananakit ng dibdib. Kapag ganito na ang sitwasyon, ang tawag na dito ay “gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).”


Kahit sino ay puwedeng magkaroon ng sakit na ito. Kahit ang mga bata. Pero mas madalas makita ang GERD sa mga taong edad 40 pataas. Common din ito sa mga buntis dahil sa tumi­tinding presyon sa kanilang tiyan.


Ang pagiging mataba ay dahilan din kung bakit nagkakaroon ng heartburn. Ang ekstrang timbang ay nagdadagdag ng pressure sa sikmura at sa diaphragm (ang malaking muscle na naghahati sa dibdib at tiyan).

 SUPER STRESS


Pag sobra na ang stress niyo ang muscles sa batok at upper back ang unang sumasakit. Parang laging may stiffed neck at mabigat ang likod mula sa batok at balikat hanggang likod. At posibleng makaranas kayo ng involuntary twitching ng muscle sa may paligid ng mata na parang pumipitik o kumukurap-kurap. Nangyari na po ba sa inyo yan? 


Sigurado akong nakaranas na ang karamihan sa inyo nyan. Ang unang dapat gawin ay umiwas sa stress! 


Kaya umpisahan natin ang araw ng tama. 

Step 1. Pagkagising tumingin sa salamin at sabihin... Ang kyut kyut Ko! (sa sarili lang at dapat walang ibang makarinig para kunwari totoo)


Step 2. Mag unat-unat, kumembot kembot. 


Step 3. Tama na yan, mag toothbrush ka na. 


Step 4. Uminum ng dalawang basong tubig na maligamgam. 


Step 5. Maligo ng mainit-init na tubig. (Wag kumukulong tubig)


Step 6. Kumain ng tama. (Matanda ka na alam mo na yung tama at mali)


Step 7. Umalis ka na ng bahay kung may trabaho ka. Kung wala, maglinis ka na ng bahay at gawin na ang iba pang gawaing bahay. (Wag na magreklamo at walang ibang gagawa niyan)


Step 8. Buong araw wag tumingin sa pangit. Lahat ng pangit iwasan... pangit itsura, pangit ugali, pangit na kapaligiran at madami pang pangit sa buhay. 


Step 9. Kung ikaw yung pangit stay home. Tumulong ka sa sambayanan na wag makaperwisyo sa kapwa. 


Step 10. Itapon lahat ng bwisit sa buhay. (Pati yang katabi mo ngayon)

Threat of defunding UP.

I've lived a very privileged life.  


Apat kaming lalaki sa pamilya ang nag De La Salle para sa elementarya; Ateneo de Manila sa sekondarya at UP Diliman nag-kolehiyo.


Ang aking mga magulang ay nag-aral sa UP. Pito kaming magkakapatid na nag-aral at nagtapos sa UP. Anim sa pito naming mga napangasawa ay produkto rin ng UP. Ang aking tatlong anak ay kasalukuyang nasa UP din.  


In other words: Diehard UP family kaming mga Remulla.


Akala ng karamihan, ang UP ay pugad ng puro mga “tibak” o aktibista. Malayo po sa katotohanan yun. I, for example, was furthest away from being an activist. Elitista pa nga ang tingin sa akin noong araw.  


Ako po ay sumali sa Upsilon Sigma Phi Fraternity na kinikilala sa UP bilang isang “soshal” na kapatiran. Naging Pangulo naman ako ng AIESEC-UP na kilala rin bilang paboritong tambayan ng mga may kaya. Ngunit sa kabila ng lahat, UP ang nagturo sa akin ng napakaraming leksyon para harapin ang totoo at praktikal na buhay.


UP taught me to be street smart and to be grounded.


Marami sa mga kasabay ko ay naging tanyag sa larangan ng pulitika. Ka-batch ko noon sila Kiko Pangilinan, Senator Migz Zubiri, Nancy Binay, Sonny Angara, Pia Cayetano at si Grace Poe. 


Naroon din po sina Governor Chiz Escudero, Congressman Alan Peter Cayetano, Vic Yap, Bondoc, Quimbo, Romulo, Romualdez, Fuentabella, Belmonte at Gasataya. 


Di ko man ka-batch at mas bata po ako sa kanila pero UP din galing sina Congresswoman Loren Legarda, Franklin Drilon, Dick Gordon, Senator Imee R. Marcos and Cynthia A. Villar.


Marami din taga-UP ang namundok at naging mga komunista. Sa totoo lang, hindi ko sila kilala o na-encounter man lang noong panahon ko sa Diliman. Di nila ako type.


OPEN LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT


Dear President Rody Duterte:


I pray that you reconsider the threat of defunding UP. It has 24,000 students many of which will contribute to society, the same way as the leaders we have today. Surely their dissent is loud and noticeable but you have to understand: That is the beauty of the University. It brings together great minds and imbeds in them a burning spirit wanting the country to be their version of a better and most progressive society. 


They may be considered as “radicals” but 99% of them are well aware that the fire in their spirit which made them seek change burns brighter as they face the burdens of leadership.  


I believe that UP produces the BEST and the BRIGHTEST. It also produces the most radical, the most “woke” and the most creative. 


It remains one of the few bastions of critical thinking and liberalism not just in the country, but in the world. 


That said, the Philippines needs UP. UP also needs the Philippines.


I am forever indebted to the University of the Philippines. 


The institution made me a better person. It made me want a better Philippines."
