How to Prune Tomato Plants: Simple Steps for a Healthier Harvest

Pruning your tomato plants is essential for promoting healthy growth and maximizing your harvest. By regularly removing suckers, dead leaves, and branches, you'll help your plant focus its energy on producing fruit. Here's how to prune your tomato plant for optimal results.

Locate the Suckers: Look for small shoots that grow in the "V" between the main stem and branches.

Remove Small Suckers: Use your fingers to pinch off suckers that are less than 5 cm long.

Cut Larger Suckers: For bigger suckers, use disinfected pruning shears to avoid spreading diseases.

Stake or Remove Lower Branches: Remove or stake branches that touch the soil to prevent disease.

Remove Low Leaves: Take off leaves near the soil to prevent fungal spores from spreading.

Periodic Pruning: Prune every 2 weeks starting from when the first flowers open (around June or July).

Common Mistakes to Avoid:

Don’t prune wet plants: Wait until they dry.

Avoid removing too many leaves: Don’t take more than one-third of the foliage.

Use clean tools: Always disinfect your shears with isopropyl alcohol before pruning each plant.

Don’t let suckers grow too big: Prune them early to prevent energy loss in the plant.

Pruning is key to growing stronger, more productive tomato plants. Ready to boost your tomato harvest? Share your tips and experiences! 🍅🌱 #TomatoPruning #GardeningTips #HomeGrown #VegetableGarden #PlantCare

NAAWA AKO SA AKING CLASSMATE DATI😥(LESSON TO LEARN TALAGA, HINDI LAHAT MAAYOS MANAMIT, RICH)

I met an old class mate, we had not seen each other for about 30 years‼️‼️

When I saw him again, this time at a hotel lobby, he was looking simple. He wore simple clothes. I felt touched‼️‼️

He walked up to me and was glad to see me again. But deep within me I was not impressed with his status compared to mine and poor me, I couldn't hide it.

We exchanged contact details and I could see the joy in him as he collected mine.

I told him I would drop him home in my brand new Range Rover and I pointed it to him. He declined and said he had already called for his car. It looked old, a 2001 Honda Accord.

I invited him the next day for lunch at my house. A part of me wanted to impress him, to show off my success and affluence to him; while another was to discuss opportunities and possibly help him‼️

He drove to Parkview where I lived. He looked impressed with my home. I had taken a heavy mortgage. In fact, I was heavily in debt. We had lunch. He told me he was into small business and particularly real Estate. I brought up more business discussions, but he didn't sound too interested. I asked him how I could help him. He said he was fine. I even told him if he was interested, I could help him secure some loans. He looked at me and smiled.

He told me he would invite me over soon to his place. His old car came for him. I was grateful to God for what I had.“Fingers are not all equal" I thought to myself. I was lucky. I worked in a good place.

Two weeks later, my wife and I went to see him in a remote area. Initially, my wife was reluctant to go because she was not impressed with the man's status as to warrant our visiting him in his house‼️

I was able to convince her that we were close friends in College.

We saw the Estate. We asked for directions to his home. Those leading us spoke his name with deference.

It was a simple but lovely home. A 4-bedroom bungalow. I saw 4 cars parked in front. We entered his home. It was simply elegant with a touch of class inside. He welcomed us warmly.

Lunch was well served.

His wife called him Papa Onos.

During lunch, he asked about my MD. He said they were friends. I saw a company gift on one of his tables nearby. That company owned about 38% shares where I worked. I enquired from him about it. He smiled. He told me he owned the company. He also owned the Estate.

I did not know when I called him sir. I was in awe of him too.

I had learnt a lesson in humility, A big one. Appearances are deceptive. He noticed my discomfort.

Driving back home, I was very quiet. My wife was humbled and extremely calm. I could perceive the thoughts in her mind. I looked at myself. Living on loans, heavy loans and showing off while someone who pays my salary is quite modest and living a simple life.

Indeed Deeper Rivers Flow In Majestic Silence.

Adjust your perception towards others this year.

Read, learn and take a good step of change.

Stop rating people based on their physical appearance or level of education.

Concentrate more on how to better your life, than on how to impress people.

Have a lovely day ahead.

Lesson learned..‼️‼️‼️

Battle

It has been nearly three months since you last saw me, and I wanted to share an update on my journey. For almost two years, I experienced persistent inflammation in my left eye, which led me to undergo a vitrectomy with phacoemulsification and a biopsy in Asian Hospital and Medical Center. Unfortunately, despite this procedure and a repeat biopsy performed at St. Luke’s BGC in March 2024, the results remained inconclusive. This prompted us to seek a second opinion in Singapore, where I was diagnosed with vitreoretinal lymphoma in June 2024.

We began treatment at MaDocs, but before my fifth chemotherapy cycle, I experienced a sudden seizure. An MRI revealed a mass in my frontal lobe, and a stereotactic biopsy confirmed it was lymphoma. This prompted an adjustment to my treatment plan. I am now undergoing a seven-cycle chemotherapy regimen at MMC, under the care of my co-interns Dr. Edusma-Dy, Dr. Ferrer, and Dr. Capellan, as well as my dear friend and classmate, Dr. Alemany. Thankfully, the treatment appears to be effective—the mass has shrunk significantly. The next step involves an intrathecal methotrexate injection, and I remain hopeful that we are moving in the right direction.

I want to extend my deepest gratitude to everyone who has helped make this difficult time more bearable for me and my family. First and foremost, to my wife, Peachy, who has been an unwavering pillar of strength throughout this ordeal—she never gave up and remained strong for us. To my children, Keisha, Yman, and Gaby, who have amazed me with their resilience and achievements despite their young age. I also want to thank my mom, who has never left my side.

I am grateful to my MDH family, especially Dr. Nica Yanga, for generously providing me with a hospital bed, and to the alumni and consultant staff for their prayers and financial support. A special shoutout to my batchmate Dada—you know what you’ve done, and I can’t thank you enough. To my MCI family—Dr. Carpiso, Dr. Ramirez, Dr. Nocon, Dr. Umali, and Dr. Navarrete—thank you for your unwavering support. I also want to express my appreciation to the PSO-HNS for their financial assistance and encouragement during this challenging time.

Finally, to all my friends and family who continue to keep me in their thoughts and prayers, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

While I am still on the path to recovery, I am slowly getting better and I look forward to personally thanking each and every one of you in time. Please continue to pray for my full recovery.

God bless us all.

WHY BUILDING DREAM HOUSES BACK HOME IS A MISTAKE

For many Filipinos living abroad, especially in North America, there’s a common dream: to build a big, beautiful house back home. It’s a symbol of success, a way to show family and friends in the Philippines that all the years of sacrifice have paid off. But more often than not, this dream benefits others more than the person who worked so hard to make it happen.

Take Victoria, a caregiver in Toronto. She left the Philippines in her 30s to work abroad, dreaming of building a big house for her family in her homeprovince of Ilocos Sur. Over the years, Victoria sent most of her earnings back home to construct a two-story, six-bedroom house with a balcony overlooking the fields. The house was her pride and joy, something she imagined retiring to someday.

But Victoria never got to live in that house. Her siblings moved in to "look after it," enjoying its cool breeze, spacious rooms, and fresh paint. Victoria, meanwhile, stayed in a cramped apartment in Toronto, working long hours to pay bills and send more money home for repairs and maintenance.

She visited every few years, but only for short vacations. By the time Victoria was ready to retire, almost 20 years had passed. The house was no longer as grand as she imagined. The paint had faded, the furniture was worn, and cracks had started to show in the walls. Worse, Victoria, now in her 60s, was diagnosed with colon cancer. She passed away before she could even book her flight back to Philippines.

It’s not just Victoria’s story. Many Filipinos abroad sacrifice their present for a future that may never come. Take Juan, another Ilocano working as a warehouse supervisor in Vancouver. He spent 12 years building a nine-bedroom house in Ilocos Sur. He planned to retire there, but in the meantime, his cousins lived in the house. They held parties, enjoyed the comforts, and even rented out some rooms to neighbors.

Juan worked tirelessly, ignoring his health, and delayed medical check-ups. By the time he was diagnosed with lung cancer, it was too late. He passed away at 55, never setting foot in the house he worked so hard to build. His wife and children, who had no plans of returning to the Philippines, sold the property.

So why do we do this? For many Filipinos, building a house back home is tied to pride and societal expectations. It’s about showing the neighbors and relatives that “I made it.” But at what cost?

When you finally return home in your old age, what will you do with a massive house? At 65 or 70, you’ll likely want something simple and easy to manage. Maintaining a mansion—cleaning the rooms, repairing the roof, or paying for electricity—can become a burden, not a joy.

Compare this to retirees in North America. When they grow older, they downsize to smaller homes or retirement communities where life is simpler. Yet many Filipinos choose the opposite: they live modestly abroad and pour all their resources into a house they’ll barely use.

The lesson here is simple. Life is short and unpredictable. Plan for the future, but don’t forget to live today. Instead of building a mansion that others will enjoy, why not invest in experiences, health, or financial security that you and your family can benefit from right now?

As the saying goes, "A good home isn't about being big; it's about being happy with the people living in it."

So, while dreaming of Philippines, don’t forget to make the most of your life wherever you are. Live wisely, live fully, and don’t let your dreams become someone else’s reality.

Ngayon, all in na kami lagi sa buhay.

Kaya eto ang 7 Tips for Finding Cheap Flight Tickets

 1. Book on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the best days to book flights, as airlines typically update their booking systems on Tuesday evenings (around 7:00 PM). Airlines know most passengers browse for tickets on weekends, so booking midweek often means catching better deals. Statistics show that most travelers check ticket prices on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays, making midweek less competitive.

 2. Book Early, But Not Too Early

Aim to book flights at least 21 days before your travel date. Airlines often allocate a limited number of tickets at the lowest price. For example, the first 20 passengers might get the cheapest fare, while subsequent tickets increase in price as quotas fill. Booking too far in advance, however, might not guarantee the best prices, so timing is key.

 3. Fly on Off-Peak Days

Plan to travel on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, as these are generally less busy both for airlines and airports. Flights on Fridays and Sundays tend to be in higher demand, driving prices up. Choosing midweek flights can help you save money and avoid crowded terminals.

 4. Search for International Deals in Advance

For international travel, start checking for deals 11 to 12 weeks before your trip. Airlines typically release promotional fares during this window, so being proactive can save you a significant amount.

 5. Land at Smaller Airports

Instead of flying directly to a major airport, consider landing at a smaller, nearby airport. For example, instead of Heathrow in London, try landing in Manchester or another regional airport, then take a train to your final destination. This strategy can significantly reduce airfare costs.

 6. Clear Your Browser Cookies

Did you know cookies can impact flight prices? Airlines use cookies to track how often you’ve visited their website, and repeated visits can lead to higher prices. Clear your browser cookies before searching for tickets to ensure you see the lowest available prices. If you’re unsure how to do this, a quick Google search will help!

 7. Compare Prices Across Platforms

Don’t settle for the first price you see! Use multiple platforms to compare fares, as the same flight can vary across websites. Some recommended search engines include:

 • Skyscanner

 • CheapFlight

 • Momondo

 • Kayak

 • Google Flights

 • ITA Matrix by Google

By comparing options, you might find unexpected deals from the same airline.

Use these tips to save on flights and make your travel planning stress-free! ✈️

THE 4 TYPES OF WOMEN 🔞

          ________________

[ This post is not to judge, but it came to help the couple, the intimate relationship with their partner ].

When you have a wife and you want to satisfy her sexually, the first step is to know what kind of woman she is...

There are generally 4 types of women in terms of sexual pleasure:

1. Clitoridian woman:

these kinds of women do not reach orgasm by penis penetration. They only reach orgasm if you gently touch the clitoris. Thus, it will be necessary to adopt a gynecological position so that at the same time the man can penetrate and stimulate the clitoris with his hand.

2. Woman G point:

the G-spot is a very erogeneous area located in the upper part of the vagina, just a few centimeters from the entrance. G-spot gives woman more pleasure than clitoris.

3. Vaginal Woman:

they can't withstand clitoris stimulation. Their pleasure is caused by penis contact with the vagina wall. Thus, the man must avoid entering straight. he has to point his 🍆 in all directions (left-right, front-back) so that the penis touches the vaginal walls. They like it a lot when the penis lingers inside the vagina for a long time.

They like to move too much, question of allowing the penis to touch all the corners of the vagina. These kind of ladies like big 🥒 and really like to smell the penis inside tight tight.

4. Woman deep spot:

they reach pleasure if the penis touches all the way (2 cm from the cervix). Hence a strong penetration. These kind of women like very long 🥒.

If the man is on top, they hold the man tighter to get a strong penetration.

In every home, the man must understand what category his wife is in, otherwise the sexual failure of the home is guaranteed

Advice

 Piece of advice.

Wag mong gawing collateral yung pinagsamahan nyo. Kesho kaibigan, kababata, kamag anak, kapatid o kahit karelasyon. No reasons. Always settle your obligations on time.

Im telling you! Higit pa sa pera ang mawawala sayo. Wag ng paabutin kung saan saan.

Battery

**Steps to Detect a Power Leak and Avoid Battery Discharge Problems:*

1. **Vehicle Preparation**: Turn off the engine, remove the keys and lock the doors. Disconnect additional electronic devices.

2. **Set up the Multimeter**: Adjust the multimeter to DC (DC) and select the highest ampere scale to avoid damage.

3. **Disconnect Negative Battery Cable**: Use a key to disconnect the negative cable (commonly black ) from the battery, ensuring it does not touch any part of the vehicle.

4. **Connect the Multimeter**: Connect the negative tip black of the multimeter to the negative battery bore and the positive tip (red) to the disconnected negative cable.

5. **Read the multimeter**: If the multimeter shows current, there is a leak. A normal leak should be less than 50 milliampires. If it's older, a leak has been identified.

6. **Identify Problem Circuit**: Check fuses one by one until the multimeter reading goes down, indicating the circuit with leak.

7. **Troubleshoot**: Inspect components of the affected circuit, verify for damage or loose connections, and repair or replace defective parts.

Detecting and fixing a power leak prevents battery discharging and ensures proper functioning of the vehicle's electrical system.

WHAT MATTERS MOST

- Atty Josephus Jimenez

- The Freeman

October 22, 2024

The best evidence of our political system's desperate bankruptcy is the proliferation of actors, actresses, and comedians dominating our legislative and executive branches, including the local government units. The enactment of laws and their implementations are now being entrusted to some people who never studied law or public administration.

Willy Revillame is a good man. He has helped a lot of people including the women that he loved. But that doesn’t make him prepared for the work of a senator. Philip Salvador is a fine actor. He made many people happy, including Kris Aquino, whom he gifted with a son. He belongs to a famous movie industry clan. But such credentials are not what are needed in the Senate. Lito Lapid is an excellent actor but he hasn’t performed enough in the Philippine Senate. By insisting to remain in the Senate, he effectively eased out the more qualified, the more competent candidates. His popularity isn’t a substitute for competence. The same is true with Bong Revilla. This guy has made politics his family business with his wife and sons all serving the government. What have they done?

Manny Pacquiao is the richest politician, next to the Villars. Of course, he deserves his wealth because he earned all of it. He did not steal money from the government. But the fact that he is a world champion in eight different boxing categories doesn’t make him prepared as a legislator. He hasn’t studied Political Science, much less Political Law and Constitutional Law. He isn’t even familiar with parliamentary rules and procedures. He appears odd when facing such parliamentarians as Chiz Esciudero, Alan Cayetano, and Francis Tolentino. He should aspire for an executive position if he wants to serve but not as a legislator. He is a good person and a good Filipino. But, with due respect, he can’t be a good senator. He should give way to the more competent candidates.

Tito Sotto has been a good public servant but he has served enough and at his age, he should give way to the younger, more dynamic and more progressive legislators. Erwin Tulfo should clarify his citizenship and explain to the people why the Commission on Appointments refused to confirm his appointment as DSWD secretary. He has an important issue to clarify to the Filipino voters. Ben Tulfo should stay away from the Senate and should instead leave Raffy Tulfo alone there. The Tulfos have to explain to the people about their sister’s problem when she was former president Duterte's Tourism secretary and her contract with a TV network which allegedly benefitted her brother.

Vilma Santos must be already in her seventies. She should tell us why she is running again for Batangas governor and why, of all people, she is taking her own son with Edu Manzano, Luis, as her vice governor. She should also explain why she is allowing her other son, Christian with husband Ralph, to run for congressman, when this very young Recto has never experienced having served even as a barangay kagawad. Vilma's husband is already the Finance secretary. Are there no other Filipinos who could serve in their stead? Why are they monopolizing political powers? Vilma had been governor for the longest time, what outstanding achievements could she brag about?

Even Zanjoe Marudo and Nora Aunor are now running as party-list candidates, my God. What is happening to our country? Are we becoming a huge Sampaguita Pictures? Jimmy Bondoc, Marco Gumabao, and Marc Gamboa are joining Arjo Atayde, Lani Mercado, Jolo Revilla, and Richard Gomez in the House of Representatives. Even Ion Perez is running for councilor in Pangasinan? Why don't they invite Vice Ganda to run for mayor of Manila and Boy Abunda as governor of Eastern Samar? Why don't they get Coco Martin to run for mayor of Quezon City, and Jhong Hilario as mayor of Makati? By the way, Bimby's dad, James Yap, is running too in San Juan. My God.

This isn’t the nation that Dr. Jose Rizal envisioned and Gat Andres Bonifacio fought and died for. If you guys want to make the Philippines a giant “Batang Quiapo”, “Eat Bulaga”, or “It's Showtime”, I am not going to be a part of this show anymore.

Let us spread this to more serious minded people, so many will know, perhaps, there will be a change one day.

Asukal

A healthy reminder to my lovely followers and subscribers most especially for this coming Holiday Season‼️

Sugar, a sweet and tempting treat, can have devastating consequences on our bodies. While it may taste good, excessive sugar consumption can lead to a plethora of health issues, affecting various parts of our bodies.

When sugar accumulates in our blood, it's called diabetes. In our brain, it's dementia. In our teeth, it's cavities. In our liver, it's fatty liver disease. In our cells, it's oxidative stress. And on our skin, it's premature aging.

The risks associated with excessive sugar consumption are real, and it's essential we take action to protect our health. By being mindful of our sugar intake and making informed choices, we can significantly reduce our risk of developing these conditions.

So, let's make a conscious effort to limit our sugar consumption and opt for a healthier lifestyle. Our bodies will thank us, and we'll be rewarded with a lifetime of wellness, energy, and vitality. Remember, a healthy life is just a choice away – choose wisely.

Stay sharp

 Listen up, Men!

By age 40, if you’re still spinning your wheels, it’s time to wake up and take charge. The clock doesn’t stop, and every day you’re either building a life you’ll be proud of or digging yourself into mediocrity. These aren’t suggestions; these are survival tactics if you’re serious about success, discipline, and purpose.

1. Opportunities Matter—Stop Complaining, Start Creating

Yes, some people have better-paying jobs because they’ve leveraged their connections or timing. Don’t waste time complaining; learn to create your own opportunities. Instead of envying their success, study their paths and adapt their tactics to build your own advantage. “You make your own luck if you work hard and know where you’re going.” Stop looking for handouts and start hustling.

2. Kill the Distractions Before They Kill Your Ambition

Distractions are the silent killers of progress. From endless scrolling to toxic relationships, distractions strip you of focus and mental clarity. Make no mistake: “Distraction is the enemy of depth.” Lock in on what matters and ruthlessly cut out what doesn’t. The man who can stay focused on his mission is the man who gets ahead.

3. Be Careful Who You Listen To

Everyone has advice to offer, but if they aren’t where you want to be, why listen? Realize this: advice is cheap. Seek out mentors and role models who embody the life you aim for and tune out the noise from everyone else. The world is full of armchair critics. You need people with battle scars.

4. Take Responsibility—No One’s Coming to Save You

If you haven’t figured it out by now, here’s the harsh truth: no one is going to fix your life for you. If you want a better life, get up and build it yourself. Remember what Jocko Willink says: “Take extreme ownership.” The man who relies on himself becomes unstoppable.

5. Stop Reading, Start Doing

Self-help books won’t save you if you’re not willing to take action. Pick one core principle and execute on it relentlessly. Discipline outweighs knowledge every time. Reading alone won’t change you—discipline will.

6. Master Sales Skills—It’s Your Fast-Track to Financial Freedom

You don’t need a degree to succeed. If you didn’t go to college for a specific job, like medicine or engineering, pick up sales. You can out-earn most people within months if you get good at selling. “In sales, you write your own paycheck.” It’s the quickest way to financial freedom if you’re hungry enough to grind.

7. Create Your Own Path—Nobody’s Going to Hand You Success

Nobody truly cares about your dreams, so don’t wait around for approval. Be bold, put yourself out there, and seize what you want. Don’t wait for opportunities—make them. “Fortune favors the bold.” You’re on your own, so act like it.

8. Align with Smarter People—Collaborate, Don’t Compete

If you meet someone smarter or more experienced, don’t be threatened—be smart. Work with them, learn from them, and leverage their skills. “If you want to go far, go together.” Choose collaboration over competition when it makes you stronger.

9. Smoking Slows You Down, Mentally and Physically

Smoking isn’t just a health liability; it’s a mental one. It makes you slower, foggier, and less sharp. If you’re serious about success, drop the habits that pull you down. Your mind is your greatest asset—protect it at all costs.

10. Comfort Breeds Mediocrity—Stay Hungry

The minute you start getting comfortable, you’re on the path to stagnation. Comfort leads to laziness, bad habits, and a weak mindset. “Stay hungry, stay foolish.” Push yourself, stay challenged, and never settle.

11. Keep Your Life Private

Not everyone needs to know your business. Too much exposure makes you vulnerable. Keep some aspects of your life reserved, and remember: “Power lies in mystery.” Guard your privacy and let your work speak for itself.

12. Stay Away from Alcohol—It’ll Make a Fool Out of You

Alcohol will strip you of control and, often, dignity. How many smart men have ruined their reputations and opportunities over a few drinks? If you value your future, don’t let alcohol stand in your way.

13. Set High Standards—Reject What Doesn’t Elevate You

Accepting the easy and convenient path leads to mediocrity. Set high standards in everything you do—relationships, career, lifestyle. Never compromise just because it’s easier. “If you settle for less, you’ll end up with less than what you settled for.”

14. The Family You Build Matters Most

By 40, your priority should shift to building and protecting your own family. The family you create, not just the one you were born into, will shape your legacy. Take this responsibility seriously; it’s a reflection of the man you are.

15. Don’t Take Things Personally—It’s a Mental Trap

If you’re constantly taking things to heart, you’re setting yourself up for mental chaos. Train yourself to detach. “Don’t take anything personally,” as Miguel Ruiz writes. Keep a strong mind and don’t let petty comments or setbacks control you.

16. Guard Against Distractions Like Your Future Depends On It

By now, you should realize that distractions are your greatest enemy. They rob you of your time, your focus, and ultimately, your future. Master your attention or risk losing everything you’re working for.

Stay Sharp, Live with Purpose

The clock is ticking. Each day is either building you up or tearing you down. By 40, there’s no more room for excuses or delays. Keep your mind focused, your standards high, and your mission clear.

Brake pads

 Types of Brake Pads

1. Organic Brake Pads

Organic brake pads are the most common type of brake pad and are typically found on most passenger vehicles. They are made from a mixture of organic materials, such as rubber, Kevlar, and carbon fiber.

Pros:

Affordable: They are the most affordable type of brake pad.

Quiet: They produce minimal brake noise.

Low Dust: They generate less brake dust than other types.

Cons:

Low Performance: They offer lower braking performance compared to other types, especially in high-performance driving situations.

Lower Heat Dissipation: They may not dissipate heat as effectively, leading to reduced braking performance in prolonged braking scenarios.

2. Ceramic Brake Pads

Ceramic brake pads are a premium option that offers several advantages. They are made from ceramic fibers mixed with metal fibers, resulting in a high-performance brake pad.

Pros:

High Performance: They provide excellent braking performance, even in high-performance driving situations.

Low Noise: They are very quiet, making for a comfortable driving experience.

Low Dust: They generate minimal brake dust, keeping your wheels clean.

Long Life: They have a longer lifespan compared to organic pads.

Cons:

High Cost: They are the most expensive type of brake pad.

3. Semi-Metallic Brake Pads

Semi-metallic brake pads are a middle ground between organic and ceramic pads. They are made from a mixture of metal fibers, such as steel and copper, mixed with organic materials.

Pros:

Good Performance: They offer good braking performance, especially in demanding driving conditions.

Longer Life: They have a longer lifespan compared to organic pads.

Cons:

Noise: They can be noisy, especially when cold.

Higher Dust: They generate more brake dust compared to organic and ceramic pads.

Higher Cost: They are more expensive than organic pads.

Choosing the Right Brake Pad

When choosing brake pads, consider the following factors:

Driving Style: If you drive aggressively or frequently tow heavy loads, you may want to consider ceramic or semi-metallic pads for their superior performance.

Budget: Organic pads are the most affordable option, while ceramic pads are the most expensive.

Noise: If you prioritize quiet braking, organic or ceramic pads are better options.

Dust: If you want to keep your wheels clean, organic or ceramic pads are better options.

Ultimately, the best brake pad for you will depend on your specific needs and preferences. By understanding the different types of brake pads, you can make an informed decision and ensure your safety on the road.

Raymond L.

A wise man once wrote (or in this case, a wise woman by the name of Odette Quesada): With all my friends behind me, how can I go wrong this time?

I was pretty nervous all the months leading up to my concert last November 23. No wait, I think you deserve full disclosure: I had butterflies partying in my stomach for a whole year! Hahaha.

Just Got Lucky was, after all, not just my 40th anniversary concert, but my first major concert in Manila in what feels like forever.

My mind battled thoughts like: Would people come? Could I hold an audience as the main artist in a big theater after such a long time? Then I realized all the less than positive thoughts that were weighing me down were selfish because they were about me.

What really helped me calm my nerves was going back to my core objective for the show, which by God's grace, became my mindset: 'This concert isn't about you, Raymond,' I told myself over and over. 'It's about saying thank you to the audiences who've listened to you for 40 years and making them as happy as possible.' And whether 20, or 200, or 2000 people showed up, that's what I was going to do.

I also made it my prayer that people would somehow see, through the show, what a great God we have. And that they'd hear Him in every note I sang.

And God is truly good! The minute I stepped on stage, I saw a theater filled with beautiful, smiling faces looking back at me and I knew everything would be alright because it wasn't my concert. It was His!

Then as I turned to one section of the audience, there they were. Their faces beaming with love and support. My dear friends for life, the Bagets. Aga Muhlach and his lovely wife Charlene, Herbert Bautista, looking sharp in a suit, lovely ladies Eula Valdes, Yayo Aguila, and Chesca Laurel, who haven't aged a bit, and my brother from another mother Monching Gutierrez, with Boss Vic Del Rosario of Viva Films, no less.

You know you're good friends with people when, even if you don't see each other for a while, the next time you do feels like you were together just yesterday. And that's the kind of beautiful friendship we share. A friendship for the ages!

And these friends of mine were a rowdy bunch that night, applauding like crazy, screaming I love you, and cheering me on from beginning to end, which the rest of the audience loved because, they were the Bagets after all, in the flesh and in the house!

And when it was time for me to sing Just Got Lucky, I just HAD to have them on stage with me. They didn't know I was going to call them up but they gamely joined me. Herbert jumped from the foot of the stage all the way to the other side. Aga grabbed a mic to sing with me as all the others danced the very same dance steps we used to do on TV. What a sight! There we were again, reunited on stage after 40 years!

Thank you, my dear friends for life, for being there for me, and for making the audience really happy that night. 40 years of me also means 40 years of us—The Bagets!

So going back to the very wise Odette Quesada and the lyrics she wrote 40 years ago: With all my friends behind me, how can I go wrong this time?

Odette, my friend, you couldn't have been more right!

I'm trying to hold my breath

Let it stay this way

Can't let this moment end

You set off a dream in me

Getting louder now

Can you hear it echoing?

Take my hand

Will you share this with me?

'Cause darling, without you

All the shine of a thousand spotlights

All the stars we steal from the night sky

Will never be enough

Towers of gold are still too little

These hands could hold the world but it'll

Realization

BY AGE 40 YOU SHOULD BE SMART ENOUGH TO REALIZE THIS:

1. Someone makes 10x more than you do in a 9-5 job because they have more "leverage" with their work.

2. Distraction is the greatest killer of success. It stunts and destroys your brain.

3. You shouldn't take advice from people who are not where you want to be in life.

4. No one is coming to save your problems. Your life's 100% your responsibility.

5. You don't need 100 self-help books, all you need is action and self discipline.

6. Unless you went to college to learn a specific skill (ie. doctor, engineer, lawyer), you can make more money in the next 90 days just learning sales.

7. No one cares about you. So stop being shy, go out and create your chances.

8. If you find someone smarter than you, work with them, don't compete.

9. Smoking has 0 benefit in your life. This habit will only slow your thinking and lower your focus.

10. Comfort is the worst addiction and cheap ticket to depression.

11. Don't tell people more than they need to know, respect your privacy.

12. Avoid alcohol at all cost. Nothing worse than losing your senses and acting a fool.

13. Keep your standards high and don't settle for something because it's available.

14. The family you create is more important than the family you come from.

15. Train yourself to take nothing personally to save yourself from 99.99% of mental problems.

Tipid tips sa kuryente.

10 KURYENTE TIPID TIPS

6. Think of Alternative - mag isip ng mga ways paano gagawin ang mga bagay without the use of electricity. Baka pwedeng magbukas muna ng bintana at kurtina instead na mag bukas ng ilaw or sa labas mag muni muni the best ito lalo kapag may duyan kayo sa labas 😉

7. Solar power - if may budget mag invest sa solar panels or gumamit ng mga bagay na solar powered na.

If this is true. Pls. Investigate.

 ATTENTION TEACHERS 🧑‍🏫

According to DepEd Philippines data released in 2021, the Davao Region (Region XI) has the following number of teachers:

Elementary Teachers: 26,010

Junior High School Teachers: 14,773

Senior High School Teachers: 3,365

Total: 44,148 teachers

The Act Teachers Party-List, led by convicted criminal France Castro, deducts ₱20 from each teacher's salary every month. This means they collect ₱882,960 per month in Davao Region alone.

Nationwide, the Philippines has:

Elementary Teachers: 514,099

Junior High School Teachers: 288,687

Senior High School Teachers: 74,056

Total: 876,842 teachers

If ₱20 is deducted from each teacher across all regions, ACT Partylist collects ₱17,536,840 per month. Multiply that by 12, and they are taking ₱210,442,080 annually from teachers.

Yan po ang kinukuha nila sa inyo. Gumising na kayo mga teachers. VP Inday Sara Duterte wants that remove when she was the DepEd Secretary, however, it’s the task of the HOR to have it removed.

PS: This post is simply an analysis of the number of teachers and the estimated amount of money the Act Teachers Party-List collects from them.

I understand that teachers must first sign up for union membership before deductions are made from their salaries. However, the ACT Party-List should be transparent about how many teachers are actually members of their organization.

You know what people, this is exactly why the Confidential Fund was asked— VP was trying to investigate all of them in DepEd Philippines.

Finally.

 finally! i'm officially a registered nurse 🥹🤍

"ONE Take? ONE TAKE!" 😭🤍

it was all you, Lord. 🍁🤍

long post ahead 😭

taking the PNLE was not on my list, i am fully sure to take the nclex so i can go straight sa U.S which is approved by my parents. but i think na pressure ako kasi all of my friends were going to take the PNLE so i decided na "why not take ko na ren?"

Be creative

FROM THE RICH£ST COMPANY TO Z£RO...................

Remember the Kodak company? In 1997, Kodak had about 160,000 employees.

And about 85% of the world's photography was done with Kodak cameras. With the rise of mobile cameras over the past few years, Kodak Camera Company is out of the market. Even Kodak went completely bankrupt and all his employees were fired.

At the same time many more famous companies had to stop themselves. Like

HMT (clock)

BAJAJ (स्कूटर)

DYANORA (TV)

MURPHY (RADIO)

NOKIA (Mobile)

RAJDOOT (Bike)

Ambassador (car)

None of the above companies had bad quality. Why are these companies out yet? Because they could not change themselves over time.

Standing in the present moment you probably don't think how much the world could change in the next 10 years! And today's 70%-90% jobs will be completely over in the next 10 years. We are slowly entering the era of "Fourth Industrial Revolution".

Check out today's famous companies-

UBER is just a software name. No, they have no cars of their own. Yet today the world's largest taxi-fair company is UBER.

Airbnb is the largest hotel company in the world today. But funny thing is they don't own a single hotel in the world.

Similarly, examples of countless companies like Paytm, Ola Cab, Oyo rooms etc can be given.

There is no work for new lawyers in America today, because a legal software called IBM Watson can advocate much better than any new lawyer. Thus, almost 90% of Americans will not have any jobs in the next 10 years. The remaining 10% will be saved. These will be 10% experts.

The new doctor is also sitting down to work. Watson software can detect cancer and other diseases 4 times more accurately than humans. Computer intelligence will surpass human intelligence by 2030.

90% of today's cars will not be seen on the roads in the next 20 years. Leftover cars will either run by electricity or hybrid cars. The roads will slowly become empty. Gasoline consumption will decrease and oil producing Arab countries will slowly become bankrupt.

If you want a car you have to ask for a car from a software like Uber. And as soon as you ask for a car, a completely driverless car will come and park in front of your door. If you travel with several people in the same car, the rent of a car per person will be less than a bike.

Driving without driver will reduce the number of accidents by 99%. And this is why car insurance will stop and car insurance companies will be out.

Things like driving on earth will no longer survive. Traffic police and parking staff won't be required when 90% of vehicles disappear from the road.

Just think, there used to be STD booths in the streets even 10 years ago. All these STD booths were forced to close after the mobile revolution came in the country. Those who survived have become mobile recharge shops. Again online revolution in mobile recharge. People started recharging their mobile online sitting at home. Had to replace these recharge shops again. Now these are just mobile phones to buy and sell and repair shops. But this will also change very soon. Mobile phone sales are increasing directly from Amazon, Flipkart.

The definition of money is also changing. There used to be cash but in today's age it has become "plastic money". Credit card and debit card round was a few days ago. Now that too is changing and the era of mobile wallet is coming. Growing market of Paytm, one click of mobile money.

Those who cannot change with age, age removes them from the earth. So keep changing with the times.

Keep creating great content, keep moving with time.

Paborito

Buhay.

"When we die, our money remains in the bank... Yet, when we are alive, we don't have enough money to spend. In reality, when we are gone, there is still a lot of money not spent.

A business tycoon in China passed away. His widow, left with $1.9 billion in the bank, married his chauffeur. His chauffeur said:- "All the while, I thought I was working for my boss... it is only now, that I realize that my boss was all the time, working for me !!!"

The cruel reality is: It is more important to live longer than to have more wealth. So, we must strive to have a strong and healthy body, It really doesn't matter who is working for who.

In a high end hand phone, 70% of the functions are useless!

For an expensive car, 70% of the speed and gadgets are not needed.

If you own a luxurious villa or mansion, 70% of the space is usually not used or occupied.

How about your wardrobes of clothes?

70% of them are not worn!

A whole life of work and earning... 70% is for other people to spend.

So, we must protect and make full use of our 30%.

Soda vs powder.

In this post, we'll discuss the differences between baking powder and baking soda, their functions in baking, and how to store them properly.

Baking isn’t just about following a recipe; it’s a precise science where each ingredient plays a specific role to create the ideal texture, rise, and flavor in your baked creations.

Two key leavening agents commonly used in baking are baking soda and baking powder. Knowing how they differ can significantly impact the outcome of your baked goods.

1. Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate)

What is it?

Baking soda is a basic chemical compound known as sodium bicarbonate. It needs an acid to trigger its leavening power.

How does it work?

When baking soda reacts with an acidic component like lemon juice, yogurt, or vinegar, carbon dioxide gas is produced. This causes the batter or dough to rise rapidly, which means you need to bake it immediately after mixing.

Role in baking:

Baking soda is perfect for recipes with acidic elements, such as buttermilk, sour cream, or molasses. It's commonly found in pancakes, quick breads, and certain cookies.

2. Baking Powder

What is it?

Baking powder is a combination of baking soda, an acid (usually cream of tartar), and a starch to prevent it from clumping. It comes in two varieties: single-acting and double-acting.

How does it work?

Single-acting baking powder releases gas once it's mixed with liquid. Double-acting baking powder, however, releases gas twice: once when mixed and again when heated. This allows for a more gradual rise and more flexibility in the baking process.

Role in baking:

Baking powder is a go-to for recipes that lack acidic ingredients. It's commonly used in cakes, muffins, and biscuits where a more delicate rise is needed.

Choosing the Correct Leavening Agent

Follow the Recipe:

Always stick to the leavening agent the recipe calls for, as swapping one for the other can drastically alter the result.

Ingredient Balance:

The leavening agent depends on the recipe’s acidity. Baking soda is ideal for acidic mixtures, while neutral or alkaline recipes benefit from baking powder.

Storage Tips:

Store both baking powder and baking soda in sealed containers in a cool, dry area to maintain their effectiveness over time.

---

Conclusion:

Both baking soda and baking powder are critical ingredients in baking. Understanding how they work and when to use each will help you achieve the right rise and texture in your baked goods, whether it's fluffy pancakes or perfectly risen cakes.

“Imbis na mabwisit ako dahil almost 30 minutes na ako naghihintay sa pila, natuwa ako habang naririnig ko sila:

"Tagal ko hinintay ‘to pare, may pambili na bagong sapatos anak ko."

"Uy nakakuha ako 2,000 dami namin mabibiling handa neto."

Faulty electrical wiring.
