Pagsisikap.
To God be the glory!

Emotions.
Stock trading isn’t just a tough mental game; it’s also an emotional roller coaster. 🎢 Your emotions in trading can either make you or break you.
Sometimes you’re happy, sometimes you’re sad. Sometimes you’re up, and sometimes you’re down. Minsan wala ka ng masabi at minsan kinakausap mo na ang sarili mo...
People often say, “Remove emotions from trading.” But here’s what I’ve learned:
We don’t lose our emotions; we learn to manage them and rise above them. We learn to become the master of ourselves. ✨️✨️
So here’s the real question:
Are you the master or the slave of your own emotions? 🧡✨️

Chicken negosyo.
DOBLENG KITA MULA SA PAG NENEGOSYO NG MANOK😲✨ Step by step tutorial ❤️
Start with 20 chicken in this August 2024 and by the end of twelve months you'll have over 300 local chicken!!!
For those seeking information on local hens, here is a personal analysis, from experience.
If you started with 20 hens. At the end of the 12 months, you can easily have 300+ chickens as long as you put your effort into it!
This is how:
Buy 20 hens that are ready to lay and 3 mature cocks.
Always keep the ratio of males to females at 1 cock to 7-10 females for fertilization purposes. That way you're sure your eggs are fertilized.
Month 1, they lay.
Month two they hatch.
Month 3 they rear their chicks.
Once the chicks are one month old, they don't need their mothers for warmth. So withdraw the mother when the chicks are one month old (at the end of calendar month 3) and rear the chicks yourself till they are 2.5 months old before you let them on their own (free range)!
This is meant to force the hen to start laying again. We are doing business and not letting nature take its course!
Month 4, the hens take what we call a "Laying break" to adopt to not having their chicks!
Month 5, the hens start to lay again.
Month 6, they hatch again.
Month 7, they rear the chicks (process repeats itself)!
Withdraw the mother at the end of month 7.
Month 8, they are on the laying break.
Month 9 they lay again.
Month 10 they hatch.
Month 11, they rear.
Withdraw mother at end of month 11.
Month 12, they take the break, waiting for month 1 of the next year to start over again.
A few things to note:
1. You can only practically do this up to 5 times for one hen before it is retired.
2. For every cycle, if you stay strict to the process, you get a week accrued for every hatching cycle because hens hatch after 21 days and in the post, I assumed a month for that. So you might squeeze a one month for the hens.
3. Put 8 eggs for every hen to hatch. In most cases, they'll hatch the entire 8 eggs, and for the poor hatchers, they'll hatch 7.
Don't be greedy it has a good chance of hatching all 8 of them as opposed to doing 10+ and end up "spoiling" eggs!
4. If you take care of the chicks in a closed environment away from stray cats and other predators, you should have 5 mature hens for every hatch-cycle, per hen.
5. If you manage to get 5 hens for the 8 eggs hatched and you had 20 hens, you'll have 100 new hens for the first cycle.
There are three cycles for every hen per year. That's a good 300 new birds. Plus your local 20 hens, you have 320. Let's just say 300 for the sake of it.
6. By the way, by the time the hen is hatching for the third time in the year, the first batch of chicks will be ready to start hatching too.
7. Assuming 50/50 for cocks and " layers"!
So you have 150 cocks, and 150 layers!
8. If you sell 100 mature birds at the market,
it is way better than trying to win a sports bet.
In all this, you gotta put your mind, effort, money and most importantly, time to it.
Don't look at the work right now, look at the end product.
A local hen lays 15-18 eggs before wanting to hatch again, if well taken care of that is.
Let's say 15 eggs, give it 8 eggs to hatch and sell the other 7 eggs x 20 hens x 300/= per egg, that's some 42,000/= ugx to buy Yaka tokens.
Always make sure you give the hen the "newest" eggs for hatching.
Eggs 15 days old have a 20% chance to hatch, 12 day old eggs have a 30% hatch rate.
Eggs 10 days old have a 50% hatch chance.
If it is 7 days, it shoots to 80%. Less than 7 days have a 90+% chance to hatch unless conditions like temperature and humidity fluctuate.
After hens hatch 5 times, sell them and rear the newer ones. For those with bigger space, do paddocks for easier identification of ages for sale.
Always maintain your "floor stock" at 300 hens and 50 cocks for easier management and space.
With this, you'll find out that you're collecting 200 eggs every day X 30 days = 6000 eggs less 2500 for hatching, you sell 3500 eggs every 4 months.
That's 1,050,000/= ugx in 4 months.
If you sell 500 hens, 250 cocks and 250 layers, at an average worst price of local 20,000/= ugx , that is 10,000,000/= per year.
Plus returns from eggs 55 X 3 cycles totals 14,525,000/= ugx a year. Local hens only take about 20-25% of budget. Pocket the rest 10,885,000/= ugx Average 875,000/= a month and you don't wake up at 5 to go to work to come back home at 10 PM hence more time for family.
Well, this is theory. The practicals have much more fun and some hardships. But it's fun doing locals. And the money is tax free. Unless you feel charitable enough to give to the government. Make it a side hustle and soon it will turn full time.
MOST IMPORTANTLY: FEED them, WATER them, VACCINATE them, and give them MEDICATION at first sight of symptoms of illness. I can't stress that enough. Have fun farming people!!!

Magnegosyo.
What they taught you about money no longer works.
For decades, we’ve been brainwashed into thinking that the only path to financial success is by climbing the corporate ladder:
* Graduate from college
* Get a safe and secure job
* Work hard
* Get promoted
* Maging loyal sa company for 30 years
* Save for retirement
* Live happily ever after
But here’s the truth: That “old game” was designed during the industrial age. OK lang nung industrial age, at siguro hanggang 80s.
Pero nung naimbento ang microchip at computer, everything started evolving at lightning speed.
Globalization, automation, and outsourcing led to mass layoffs, contract-based work, and less job security.
In reality, job security is now just an illusion.
Sadly, ang school system natin ay sobrang bagal mag-adapt, kaya it’s still teaching the old "rules" of the game.
Imagine playing basketball ngayon gamit ang tactics ng 1970s—what are your chances of winning? ZERO.
Yes, masipag ka naman, but the game of making money has changed a lot.
If you’re not leveraging the internet, automation, or outsourcing, you’re missing out on countless opportunities.
I’ve made over P250M by selling my own digital products and programs online—and earned millions more along the way.
But the best part? I’ve been able to design a life I’m excited to wake up to, running my business from home for 16 years.
I’m not telling you this to brag but to show you that I’ve been playing this “new game” for years.
Now, it’s your turn to decide:
1) Stay where you are. Do nothing and just work harder.
2) Learn the new game, and start making more money while working less.
I hope you choose #2.
If you do, I’d love to give you free access to my training on how to start a modern business selling e-books and digital products.

The Ultimate Guide to when to plant vegetables and why
Best Times to Plant Popular Vegetables:Now let’s take a closer look at when to plant some common vegetable crops:
Tomatoes: Wait until after the last frost date to plant tomatoes outdoors. Soil temperatures should be above 60°F (15.5°C) for optimal growth.
Carrots: Carrots can be planted as soon as the soil can be worked in early spring. Sow seeds directly into the ground for best results.
Peppers: Peppers are warm-season crops and should be planted after the danger of frost has passed. Soil temperatures should be around 70°F (21°C) for successful transplanting.
Lettuce: Lettuce prefers cooler temperatures and can be planted as soon as the soil can be worked in early spring. For a continuous harvest, sow seeds every few weeks throughout the growing season.
Beans: Beans are warm-season crops that should be planted after all danger of frost has passed. Soil temperatures should be above 60°F (15.5°C) for optimal germination.
Timing is everything in gardening, especially when it comes to planting vegetables. By understanding the optimal planting times for different crops and the reasons behind these timing considerations, beginners can set themselves up for a successful and bountiful harvest. Remember to take into account your local climate, frost dates, soil temperature, and day length when planning your planting schedule. With a bit of knowledge and careful planning, you’ll soon be enjoying the fruits (and vegetables) of your labor in your own garden. Happy gardening!

People
SEVEN TYPES OF PEOPLE TO Avoid! Worth to read 📖
1. WHEELBARROW PEOPLE: This category of people are energy drainers and time wasters. Such people would always want you to do everything for them. They don’t care about your own good but only theirs. They believe it’s your problem to solve their problems. One terrible thing about “wheelbarrow” is that, after you have laboured to load it up, you will still have to labour to push before it moves.
Note: Wheelbarrow people are consumers of energy, time and resources.
2. MOSQUITO PEOPLE: This set of people are only interested in sucking goodies out of your life and injected poison in replacement. They are benefits seekers but will never add values to others. Mosquito people have nothing good to offer but always want to derive goodness from others. Here is one terrible thing about “Mosquitos”, they only sing around you whenever they want to suck your blood and give you malaria.
Note: Mosquito people only sing your praises when they have something to benefit from you, while they backbite and backstab you thereafter.
3. SCAFFOLDING PEOPLE: This category of people are glory seekers and takers. Just because they have helped you at one time or another, they would want to be god over your life. They want to always control you and dictate the directions of your life. They won’t want you to be free and shine on your own but to always be under them.
One good thing about “Scaffolding” is that it’s useful but it’s usefulness is for short-term purpose. It is dangerous to be kept for permanent purpose.
Note: You must know when the relevances of scaffolding people have started constituting nuisance to your personal development and progress. And at such a time, all you must do is to discard them without delay, if not, your star will never shine.
4. CROCODILE PEOPLE: This category of people are nothing but pretenders. They don't have good reasons or godly intentions for getting closer to you. They only get close to know your secrets and will possibly use whatever personal information they know about you against you at any slightest provocation or disagreement. Crocodile people are not pretenders, they are liars, backstabbers, gossipers and twaddlers.
Note: Crocodile people would pretend to gain your empathy and make you vulnerable to their attack thereafter.
5. CHAMELEON PEOPLE: This set of people are envious and full of jealousy. They are always in unhealthy competition with you. They pretend as if they are going the same direction with you but only to silently monitor your life's progress with evil and negative intentions. They are envious of your success and as a result enter into competitive jealousy with you. Chameleon people are friends that will neither support you nor celebrate your progress, but would always amplify your downfall and mistakes.
Note: A jealous and envious friend can go any length to sabotage your efforts, frustrate your plans and destroy your dreams.
6. NAYSAYER PEOPLE: This set of people are dream killers. They won't appreciate your dreams and they will never support it. They will tell you 1001 reasons why your dream is impossible. They won't see your efforts but will always capitalise on your failed attempts. They will always see your cup half-empty and not half-full. When you are working on solutions, they would be busy creating more problems for you. They are passion killers and hope drainers.
Note: Naysayer People don't have dreams, so they will neither appreciate your dream nor support it.
7. GARBAGE PUSHER PEOPLE: This category of people are the worst of them all. They don't have anything good to offer. Their lives are full of debris, dirtiness and trashes. They are carriers of bad and negative news. They are carriers and disseminators discouraging and demoralizing information. Anytime they surface, it means they have something negative to talk about. They a peddlers of unfortunate events and negative development.
Note: Garbage Pusher People are always the first set of people to twit, post and broadcast ungodly, unfortunate, unprofitable and heartbreaking information.
You know them on your list as I also have them on my list too.
NOTE:
It is your sole responsibility to examine your life to really understand what categories of people you are surrounded with. Your life can only move in right directions the moment you associate with positive people and disconnect from negative people. Am I communicating?

Brake
Causes of Hard and Stiff Brake Pedals.
When you experience a hard brake pedal, it indicates that there may be a problem with your brake system. Here are some common causes and troubleshooting steps to help diagnose the problem:
1- Low Brake Fluid Level.
Check the brake fluid reservoir and make sure the fluid level is within the recommended range. If it is low, it may indicate a leak in the system. Check the brake lines, calipers, and wheel cylinders for any signs of leaks.
2- Air in the Brake System.
Air bubbles in the brake lines can cause a spongy or hard brake pedal. Bleeding the brake system to remove the air is essential. Start bleeding the brakes farthest from the master cylinder and work your way closer together. Follow the manufacturer’s recommended bleeding procedure.
3- Brake Booster Problems.
The brake booster is responsible for assisting with brake pedal effort. A faulty brake booster can cause a hard brake pedal. Check for any vacuum leaks or damaged hoses connected to the booster. Additionally, listen for an abnormal hiss or air leak when the brake pedal is depressed, which could indicate a faulty brake booster.
4- Voltage Master Cylinder.
The master cylinder is the main component that controls hydraulic pressure in the brake system. If the master cylinder fails, it can cause a hard brake pedal. Look for signs of fluid leakage around the master cylinder and inspect the brake fluid for any contamination or milky appearance.
5- Restricted Brake Lines.
Obstructions or restrictions in the brake lines can impede fluid flow, resulting in a hard brake pedal. Inspect the brake lines for defects, collapsed sections, or blockages. Pay special attention to areas where the brake lines are routed close to suspension components or the vehicle body.
6- Brake Pad or Caliper Problems.
Brake pads or calibrations that are not adjusted can contribute to a hard brake pedal. Check the brake pads for excessive wear and replace them if necessary. Check the calibrations to make sure they slide freely and are not stuck.
So if you do not find a solution to the above problems, it is advisable to consult a qualified mechanic or bring the car to a reputable car service center for a more accurate examination and diagnosis. Remember that a hard brake pedal can greatly affect the performance and safety of the car’s brakes, so it should be addressed immediately and not tolerated at all for your safety.

Common causes of slow acceleration of the car
Dirty (unclean) air flow sensor (MAF), faulty spark plugs, faulty throttle position sensor, clogged catalytic converter, faulty oxygen sensor, clogged air filter, fuel system malfunction.
1- Air filter blockage
Clogged air filter The most common reason a car feels slow when accelerating because it allows less air to pass through.
2- (Air sensor) The comprehensive airflow sensor, or MAF sensor, is an essential component of the fuel injection system. It is located between the air filter box and the throttle valve. MAF ensures that the right amount of fuel and air is mixed in the internal combustion chamber of the engine.
MAF can become dirty or defective because it erodes over time. A bad mass airflow sensor can send incorrect data to the car's internal system, causing the ideal amount of fuel entering the combustion system to be calculated incorrectly.
However, the dirty airflow sensor can be cleaned with a sensor cleaner, while the defective must be replaced immediately.
3- Oxygen sensor defect
There are several types of oxygen sensors, but they all serve the same purpose: regulating the air-fuel ratio by determining the amount of oxygen. If the sensor is damaged, the engine will not be able to maintain an adequate ratio of fuel and air.
This is another reason why the car feels slow when accelerating, the driver is experiencing irregular deceleration, or the car is completely losing power.
Furthermore, poor acceleration may occur if the oxygen sensor is dirty. In such cases, cleaning the car's oxygen sensor may solve the problem.
Damage to the oxygen sensor causes an increase in fuel consumption in the car

4- Spark plugs
The spark plugs in the car generate the ignition needed to start the engine. A bad spark plug can cause a significant loss in performance and increase fuel consumption.
The cause of the car malfunction and poor acceleration can also be the presence of faulty spark plugs. Driving with faulty spark plugs can have serious consequences, so it should be addressed as a priority.
5- Clogged Catalytic Converter (Environmental Box)
The catalytic converter uses catalysts to convert toxic gases into less harmful gases. As a result, it is an important component of the exhaust system of an internal combustion engine vehicle.
If the catalytic converter is clogged or fails, your vehicle will emit dangerous gases and black smoke. A clogged catalytic converter is one of the most common reasons why a vehicle fails to accelerate when you press the accelerator pedal.
Fuel System Malfunction
Fuel is essential for combustion in a vehicle's engine. However, when the fuel system fails, the engine is not supplied with enough fuel, leading to problems with the vehicle's acceleration.
There are several factors that can cause the fuel delivery method to deplete the fuel supply in a vehicle's engine. These factors include:
6- Fuel Injectors
Fuel injectors regulate the amount of fuel that enters the combustion chamber through the fuel lines. Bad fuel injectors are those that become clogged over time due to fuel contaminants, preventing fuel delivery.
7- Faulty Fuel Pump
The fuel pump transfers fuel from the tank through the fuel lines to the engine. A faulty fuel pump fails to supply fuel to the injectors, causing acceleration problems and, in severe cases, stalling.
Cooling system
Engine Cooling System:
How It Works and Main Components:
The engine produces a high amount of heat that needs to cool down for the efficient functioning of the vehicle. Cooling down an engine involves complex mechanisms and components that work together to ensure everything is well within the temperature range.
Let’s look at the car cooling system parts and functions to understand our favorite machines better.
1. Water Pump:
The water pump is what carries the coolant through the engine. As the burning fuel produces around 4,500 degrees of heat, it is essential to draw off the heat from the engine to avoid damage and failure.
2. Radiator:
When the coolant circulates through the hot engine, it heats up. The radiator helps to cool down the coolant before it starts the process all over again. The anti-freeze moves through metal fins for heat dissipation.
3. Radiator Cap:
The radiator cap is also known as a pressure cap, as its primary function is to maintain the pressure in the cooling system. The high pressure in the car cooling system increases the boiling point of the coolant, thereby helping it cool down more efficiently.
4. Cooling Fan:
The radiator contains cooling fans that drive fresh air over the radiator, allowing the engine to be cooled down further. However, the fan is functional only when the engine gets to 230°F or more.
5. Heater Core:
The heater core acts as a mini radiator, wherein it extracts the heat from the hot coolant and blows it into the cabin. It is how you get the blast of warm air in your car cabin when it is freezing outside.
6. Overflow Tank/Coolant Expansion Tank:
The coolant expansion tank acts as a reservoir for excess coolant whenever there is a change in the volume. For instance, when the coolant gets hot, it expands. The overflow tank then holds the additional quantity, thereby maintaining the accurate level of coolant in the cooling system.
7. Thermostat:
The engine has to go through all kinds of temperatures, ranging from extremely hot to extremely cold. The thermostat is what regulates the coolant entry through the system.
8. Hoses:
The hoses are a series of pipes that connect the radiator and the engine so that the coolant can flow through them. They are made from durable material as they have to go through a lot of pressure and high temperatures.
9. Freeze Plug:
Freeze Plug is another car cooling system part that helps to protect the engine. As water expands when it freezes, the coolant can also freeze in cold areas when the vehicle is sitting idle. The freezing coolant is a threat to the engine block and may even crack it.

WHAT ARE BALL JOINTS?
Ball joints are unsung heroes, acting as the smooth connectors between various suspension components. They allow for pivotal movement, enabling your car's wheels to turn while maintaining a secure connection to the chassis. Imagine a ball and socket joint - that's the basic principle at play. The "ball" is typically a metal stud, while the "socket" is a housing lined with a wear-resistant material.
THE SCIENCE BEHIND BALL JOINT MOVEMENT
BALL JOINTS PLAYS A CRUCIAL ROLE IN YOUR CAR'S HANDLING AND STABILITY:
(1): STEERING CONTROL:
By allowing the wheels to pivot smoothly, ball joints ensure precise steering response when you turn the wheel.
(2): SMOOTH RIDE:
They absorb bumps and road irregularities, contributing to a comfortable driving experience.
(3): PROPER ALIGNMENT:
They maintain the correct alignment of your wheels, preventing uneven tire wear and maximizing handling.
THE BALLL-AND-SOCKET DESIGN ALLOWS FOR TWO KEY MOTIONS:
-SWIVELLING:
This enables the wheels to turn left and right, controlled by your steering wheel input.
-ANGLING UP AND DOWN:
This allows the wheels to move independently as your car travels over bumps and uneven terrain, maintaining optimal tire contact with the road.
WHERE ARE BALL JOINTS LOCATED?
Ball joints are key players in several areas of your car's suspension system:
- LOWER CONTROL ARMS:
These connect the wheels to the car's frame, and ball joints allow them to pivot up and down as the wheels encounter bumps.
-UPPER CONTROL ARMS (ON SOME CARS): They provide additional stability and control, and ball joints enable them to move for proper wheel alignment.
-SWAY BARS (ON SOME CARS):
These help reduce body roll during cornering, and ball joints connect them to the suspension components.
WARNING SIGNS OF A WORN BALL JOINT:
Ball joint, like any mechanical component, can wear out over time. Here are some signs to watch out for:
-CLUNKING SOUNDS:
A clunking noise from the front of your car, especially when turning or going over bumps, can indicate a worn ball joint.
-UNEVEN TIRE WEAR:
If your tires are showing signs of uneven wear, a faulty ball joint could be misaligning the wheels.
-LOOSE STEERING:
Excessive play in the steering wheel, feeling disconnected from the road, could be a sign of a loose ball joint.
VEHICLE PULLING:
If your car seems to be pulling to one side while driving, a worn ball joint could be causing misalignment.
A BAD BALL JOINT OFTEN ANNOUNCES ITS PRESENCE WITH A DISTINCT SOUND:
-A CLUONKING OR GRINDING NOISE: This sound typically occurs when you turn the wheel, hit bumps, or accelerate/brake. It can be a single clunk or a series of repetitive noises.
WHAT HAPPENS IF A BALL JOINT FAILS?
A completely failed ball joint can be catastrophic. Here's why it's crucial to address any issues promptly:
-LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL: A broken ball joint can disconnect the wheel from the steering system, leading to a complete loss of control.
-SUSPENSION FAILURE: A broken ball joint can damage other suspension components, potentially causing the wheel to come loose entirely.
-INCREASED ACCIDENT RISK: Worn or broken ball joints significantly increase the risk of accidents due to compromised handling and potential wheel detachment.
IN CONCLUSION:
Ball joints are often overlooked when considering the critical components of a vehicle's suspension system. However, these seemingly unremarkable parts play an indispensable role in ensuring the safety, performance, and longevity of your vehicle. The significance of ball joints extends far beyond their mechanical function; they are the linchpin that connects your car’s steering knuckles to the control arms, allowing for smooth and controlled movement while driving. When these components become worn, the consequences can be both silent and deadly.
Worn ball joints can manifest in subtle ways that are easy to ignore—minor vibrations, unusual noises, or slight changes in steering feel. These symptoms might seem inconsequential at first, but they are often precursors to much more severe issues. As ball joints deteriorate, the vehicle's alignment can be thrown off, leading to uneven tire wear, compromised handling, and increased braking distances. Over time, these issues can escalate, resulting in a loss of control, especially during high-speed maneuvers or emergency situations. The insidious nature of worn ball joints lies in their ability to degrade gradually, making it easy for drivers to become accustomed to the changes in their vehicle's behavior until a catastrophic failure occurs.
Moreover, the dangers posed by worn ball joints are not limited to the individual vehicle. A ball joint failure can lead to a complete collapse of the suspension system, potentially causing the wheel to separate from the vehicle. Such an event at high speeds can have devastating consequences, not just for the driver and passengers but for other road users as well. This scenario underscores the critical importance of regular inspection and maintenance of ball joints as part of a vehicle’s routine service schedule.
In professional practice, automotive technicians must prioritize the evaluation of ball joints during inspections, particularly for vehicles with high mileage or those that frequently operate in harsh conditions. Given the catastrophic potential of ball joint failure, the industry standard should lean towards preventative replacement rather than waiting for definitive signs of wear. Additionally, educating vehicle owners about the importance of ball joint maintenance can play a pivotal role in preventing accidents and extending the lifespan of their vehicles.
While ball joints may be small and often overlooked, their role in vehicle safety is monumental. The "silent but deadly" nature of worn ball joints requires both drivers and automotive professionals to remain vigilant. Regular inspection, prompt replacement, and awareness of the warning signs are crucial steps in preventing the potentially fatal consequences of ball joint failure. In a broader context, the issue serves as a reminder of the importance of routine vehicle maintenance and the need to address even the most minor symptoms before they escalate into major problems. Safety on the road begins with attention to detail, and in the case of ball joints, that attention could be the difference between life and death.
Black oil.
WHY DOES ENGINE OIL TURN BLACK? UNDERSTANDING THE INTRICACIES OF OIL DARKENING IN ENGINES
For most car owners, noticing dark or black engine oil during a routine check may feel concerning. After all, that fresh, amber-colored oil poured into the engine eventually takes on a dark hue, which often leads to the assumption that the oil has gone "bad." The truth, however, is far more complex and intriguing. Engine oil’s transformation from a clear, golden liquid to a darker, sometimes nearly black substance, is a natural process that tells a story about what’s happening inside the engine. Far from a simple sign of contamination or degradation, blackened oil often indicates that the oil is effectively performing its job—protecting the engine from wear, contamination, and heat damage.
Engine oil plays a critical role in the performance and longevity of an engine. It doesn’t just reduce friction between moving parts; it acts as a cooling agent, a cleaner, and a protector of sensitive components. As it performs these tasks, it encounters various factors that impact its appearance and effectiveness. To an untrained eye, the darkening of oil might seem like a warning sign, but understanding why this transformation happens can shed light on the oil's purpose and the conditions inside the engine. So why does engine oil turn black?
This article dives deep into the mechanics of engine oil darkening, exploring the primary factors at play and the science behind each of them. From the buildup of soot produced during combustion, to the effects of high temperatures and oxidation, to the presence of contaminants from both internal wear and external sources—these are the forces that impact engine oil, influencing its color and effectiveness over time. Learning about these factors not only helps dispel common misconceptions but also empowers car owners to make more informed decisions about maintenance and care for their vehicles.
Understanding what causes oil to darken helps in appreciating the job it’s doing and recognizing the importance of timely oil changes, which remain crucial for optimal engine health. This is not just a guide to help car owners understand a simple color change, but a comprehensive look at the vital role engine oil plays, the complex forces that alter it, and the ways drivers can best protect their engines. Let’s delve into each of the major reasons why engine oil changes color, and uncover what each transformation tells us about the engine's condition and the oil's performance.
✅: SOOT BUILDUP: THE ESSENTIAL CLEANING ROLE OF ENGINE OIL
One of the main reasons engine oil turns black is due to soot accumulation. During the combustion process, engines naturally produce soot as a byproduct. This microscopic, carbon-based residue forms when fuel burns incompletely, and while it’s unavoidable, the buildup of soot can cause significant harm to engine components if not properly managed.
Engine oil contains detergents and dispersant additives specifically designed to trap and hold these soot particles in suspension. Instead of allowing the particles to settle on engine surfaces, where they could form harmful deposits, these additives keep soot floating within the oil. This gives the oil a darker color but also ensures that the soot remains isolated, reducing the risk of wear on critical components.
The blackening of oil due to soot is often misunderstood. In reality, this change in color signifies that the oil is actively working to keep the engine clean. The captured soot is safely suspended in the oil, preventing it from adhering to engine surfaces, which could lead to sludge formation. Therefore, rather than signaling a problem, blackened oil often indicates that the oil’s detergents are doing their job effectively by keeping the engine free from residue buildup.
✅: HEAT CYCLES AND OXIDATION: HOW HIGH TEMPERATURES AFFECT OIL COMPOSITION
Another major contributor to oil darkening is the engine’s heat cycles and the process of oxidation. As the engine operates, temperatures within it can reach several hundred degrees Fahrenheit, putting extreme thermal stress on the oil. These high temperatures cause oil molecules to come into contact with oxygen, initiating a chemical reaction known as oxidation.
Oxidation leads to the breakdown of oil molecules over time, creating acidic byproducts that can degrade oil performance. These acidic compounds not only contribute to the darkening of the oil but also make the oil less effective at lubricating and protecting the engine. In advanced stages, oxidized oil can thicken, becoming sludge-like, which reduces its flow through the engine and raises the risk of engine damage.
The rate of oxidation depends on factors such as the engine’s design, operating temperature, and the presence of heat-producing components like turbochargers. Synthetic oils and oils with higher-quality additives often resist oxidation better, but even these oils will eventually succumb to heat-induced breakdown. This process is a natural result of engine operation, and the darkening of oil due to oxidation is expected. Regular oil changes help ensure that oil maintains its protective properties, despite oxidation’s unavoidable effects.
✅: CONTAMINATION AND WEAR: HOW EXTERNAL PARTICLES AND Engine WEAR DARKEN OIL
The final factor contributing to oil darkening is contamination from both external sources and internal engine wear. As engine components interact under high-stress conditions, small metal particles are inevitably worn off and enter the oil. Additionally, dirt and dust particles can enter the engine through the air intake system, despite air filters, and mix with the oil. Over time, this contamination builds up and contributes to the darkening of the oil.
Metal particles, in particular, are concerning because they indicate mechanical wear. These particles, although small, can cause additional wear on engine components if not properly suspended and neutralized by the oil. The presence of metallic contaminants is often detected through professional oil analysis, which can indicate the rate of engine wear and provide insight into the health of specific engine parts. Oil darkening due to contamination from wear is thus a signal that the oil is actively absorbing and neutralizing potentially harmful particles, preventing them from causing further damage.
In addition to metal particles, moisture and fuel residue can enter the oil, especially in short-trip driving conditions where the engine doesn’t reach optimal operating temperatures. Incomplete fuel combustion and condensation build-up can introduce fuel and water contaminants into the oil, contributing to both darkening and dilution. Regular maintenance and oil changes are essential to remove these contaminants, ensuring the oil continues to protect the engine effectively.
HOW TO RECOGNIZE WHEN DARKENED OIL NEEDS CHANGING
While the darkening of engine oil is a normal process, it’s important to recognize when it may be time for an oil change. Dark oil isn’t necessarily a problem, but it can be a signal that the oil’s additives are becoming depleted and that the oil is approaching the end of its useful life. Regular oil changes remove contaminated and degraded oil, ensuring that fresh oil can continue to protect the engine effectively.
It’s also worth noting that oil color alone is not always an accurate measure of oil health. For a more accurate assessment, drivers can consider having an oil analysis performed. Oil analysis can identify specific contaminants, oxidation levels, and viscosity changes, offering a comprehensive view of the oil’s condition and the engine’s wear rate. This can be especially valuable for high-mileage vehicles or performance-oriented engines where precise maintenance is critical.
IN CONCLUSION
Engine oil darkening is a natural and essential part of engine maintenance, signaling that the oil is actively performing its job of cleaning, cooling, and protecting the engine. From capturing soot particles to resisting oxidation and suspending contaminants, engine oil endures a range of challenges to keep engines running smoothly. While the sight of black oil may cause concern for some, understanding the reasons behind this color change can provide reassurance that the oil is doing exactly what it’s designed to do.
Regular oil changes and proper maintenance are key to ensuring that the oil continues to perform its functions effectively. As a critical line of defense against wear, overheating, and contamination, engine oil remains one of the most essential components of vehicle health. By staying attentive to oil changes and considering professional oil analysis when needed, drivers can ensure their engines enjoy a long and reliable service life, supported by oil that keeps working tirelessly to protect, clean, and cool every mile of the journey.

Beware of stove flame.
⚠️⚠️ Pay attention to the color of the stove flames.
* If the flame is blue, everything is functioning well. This indicates that the gas is properly mixed, and the flame temperature is around 1500-1700 degrees Celsius.
* If the flame is red or orange, it means the gas is mixed with a higher dose of oxygen, resulting in a lower flame temperature of around 900-1200 degrees Celsius. This also leads to increased gas consumption.
A lack of oxygen in the room can change the flame color. Insufficient oxygen can cause butane to combust incompletely, producing a toxic gas called carbon monoxide, which appears as an orange or yellow flame.
Therefore, it is important to always open the doors and windows of the room where you are cooking to ensure a proper supply of oxygen.

Balanse
"We are raising children, not houses."
Magmula ng bumukod kaming mag-asawa, na-realized ko na "Sometimes, you can't win them all".
Ultimately, it all boils down to priorities.
Again, we are raising children not houses.
Ang hirap i-balanse ano? Pero basta ginagawa mo ang makakaya mo with good intentions, okay na okay na yan.
You can still be a good mom kahit na makalat at hindi organized ang bahay. ❤

Journey.
No stock trading post...
No motivational post...
You know life was much easier when all I did was trade every day—just grab my laptop, sit at my desk, read price action, trade, profit, repeat.
Making decisions used to be my strength. But now, I find myself pausing, overthinking, and still unsure if the choices I make are the right ones. 🍀
Magpapatuloy ba sa journey na ito? Mangangarap ng PR? Why most of us are dreaming to have another citizenship? Worth it ba ito or nacchallenge lng ako. Kapag may nilatag ba sa iyong path, kailangan mo yun lakaran? Without assurance that you will succeed... 🦋
Yeah, its just me—updating. Feeling a bit lost, uncertain about life choices. It feels overwhelming, but I’m still moving forward, and seeing where life leads me. 🍂
To those who follow and know me, I just want to say I appreciate you—thank you for being here with me. ✨️✨️

Life
"When we die, our money remains in the bank... Yet, when we are alive, we don't have enough money to spend. In reality, when we are gone, there is still a lot of money not spent.
A business tycoon in China passed away. His widow, left with $1.9 billion in the bank, married his chauffeur. His chauffeur said:- "All the while, I thought I was working for my boss... it is only now, that I realize that my boss was all the time, working for me !!!"
The cruel reality is: It is more important to live longer than to have more wealth. So, we must strive to have a strong and healthy body, It really doesn't matter who is working for who.
In a high end hand phone, 70% of the functions are useless!
For an expensive car, 70% of the speed and gadgets are not needed.
If you own a luxurious villa or mansion, 70% of the space is usually not used or occupied.
How about your wardrobes of clothes?
70% of them are not worn!
A whole life of work and earning... 70% is for other people to spend.
So, we must protect and make full use of our 30%.
