Small kindness

There is a little coffee shop, where two people arrive and approached the counter.

“Five coffees please. Two for us and three hanging.”

They paid, they took their two coffees and left.

I asked the waiter. "What’s this about hanging coffees?"

“Wait and you'll see."

Some more people came in.

Two girls asked for a coffee each, they paid & left.

The following order was for seven coffees and it was made by three women - ‘three for them and four hanging coffees.’

I was left wondering...what is the meaning of the hanging coffees, they leave.

Then, a man dressed in worn clothes, who looks like he might be homeless, arrives at the counter and asks sincerely...

“Do you have a coffee hanging?"

“Yes we do, sir.”

They serve him a coffee.... I got my answer.

People pay in advance for a coffee that will be served to whoever can't afford a hot drink.

This tradition started in Naples.

Amazingly, it has spread throughout the world’s cities and towns.

It’s also possible to order not only "hanging coffees" but also a sandwich or a full low cost meal.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could all start doing this in the cities and towns where we live?

Small kindnesses like this can impact so many lives, in ways we could never imagne.

Maybe we should all try it.😊❤️

No business is free.

A man established a zoo and made the entrance fee of 300$ but no one went there. He reduced it to 200$ but still, no one came.

He then reduced the fee to 10$ but still, people didn’t come.

Finally, he made it to the FREE entrance and soon, the zoo was filled with people. Then he quietly locked the gate of the zoo, set the lions free, and made the exit fee of 500$ and everyone paid!

Moral Of The Story: As you go about in life, beware of cheap or free offers, they can be terrible.

No business is free

Kaibigan.

During a prank, a student stuck a paper on his classmate's back that said "𝗜'𝗺 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗽𝗶𝗱", and asked the rest of the class not to tell the boy. Thus the students began laughing on and off...

Came afternoon math class started and their teacher wrote a difficult question on the board. No one was able to answer it except the boy with the sticker. Amid the unexplained giggles, he walked toward the board and solved the problem.

The teacher asked the class to clap for him and remove the paper on his back. She told him:

"It seems that you don’t know about the paper your classmate has pasted on your back."

Then the teacher looked at the rest of the class and said:

"Before I give you a punishment, let me tell you 2 things:

First, throughout your Life, people will put labels on you with many nasty words to stop your progress. Had your classmate known about the paper, he wouldn't have gotten up to answer the question.

𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻, 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳."

"Second, it’s clear that he doesn't have any loyal friend among you all to tell him about the sticker. It doesn't matter how many friends you have - it is the loyalty you share with your friends that matters.

𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸, 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲."

Choose your friends wisely.

Journey of Life

Ethics 101.

 ETHICS 101

For self-reflection: Have I developed the habit of doing the right thing?

Ethics is fundamentally about doing the right thing. Ethics is the branch of philosophy that deals with moral principles and guides individuals in determining what is right or wrong.

It involves evaluating actions, behaviors, and decisions based on principles such as honesty, fairness, integrity, and compassion.

Essentially, ethics provides a framework for individuals and societies to navigate moral dilemmas and make choices that align with moral values, ultimately contributing to the greater good.

Put another way, doing the right thing is a moral compass that guides individuals towards ethical and responsible choices.

It involves making decisions that align with principles such as honesty, fairness, and compassion.

Engaging in actions that prioritize the greater good and well-being of others contributes to a harmonious and just society.

Whether in personal relationships, professional endeavors, or community involvement, doing the right thing is a fundamental pillar for building trust, fostering positive connections, and leaving a lasting positive impact on the world.

The inverse is a corrupted individual or one that engages in corrupt practices, i.e., dishonest or unethical behavior.

Corrupt practices often involve the misuse of power, authority, or resources for personal gain. These can manifest in various forms, such as bribery, embezzlement, fraud, nepotism, extortion, or any actions that compromise the principles of integrity and fairness.

Corruption undermines trust in institutions, distorts fair competition, and can have severe social, economic, and political consequences.

Governments, organizations, and individuals work to combat corrupt practices through legal frameworks, transparency measures, and ethical standards.

When truth is hidden by a bodyguard of lies for selfish interests, trust is lost. Once lost, estsblishing sincerity in making amends to regain trust takes a long time. In the meantime unity, solidarity and teamwork lie in shambles.

Yellow by Coldplay

 Look at the stars

Look how they shine for you

And everything you do

Yeah, they were all yellow

I came along

I wrote a song for you

And all the things you do

And it was called Yellow

So then I took my turn

Oh, what a thing to have done

And it was all yellow

Your skin, oh yeah, your skin and bones

Turn into something beautiful

And you know, you know I love you so

You know I love you so

I swam across

I jumped across for you

Oh, what a thing to do

'Cause you were all yellow

I drew a line

I drew a line for you

Oh, what a thing to do

And it was all yellow

And your skin, oh yeah, your skin and bones

Turn into something beautiful

And you know, for you, I'd bleed myself dry

For you, I'd bleed myself dry

It's true

Look how they shine for you

Look how they shine for you

Look how they shine for

Look how they shine for you

Look how they shine for you

Look how they shine

Look at the stars

Look how they shine for you

And all the things that you do

Fast Car by Luke Combs

Tracy Chapman

 You got a fast car

And I want a ticket to anywhere

Maybe we make a deal

Maybe together we can get somewhere

Any place is better

Starting from zero, got nothing to lose

Maybe we'll make something

Me, myself, I got nothing to prove

You got a fast car

I got a plan to get us out of here

I've been working at the convenience store

Managed to save just a little bit of money

Won't have to drive too far

Just across the border and into the city

You and I can both get jobs

Finally, see what it means to be living

See, my old man's got a problem

He live with the bottle, that's the way it is

He says his body's too old for working

His body's too young to look like his

Mama went off and left him

She wanted more from life than he could give

I said, "Somebody's got to take care of him"

So, I quit school and that's what I did

You got a fast car

Is it fast enough so we can fly away?

Still gotta make a decision

Leave tonight, or live and die this way

So, I remember when we were driving, driving in your car

Speed so fast, I felt like I was drunk

City lights lay out before us

And your arm felt nice wrapped around my shoulder

And I, I, I had a feeling that I belonged

I, I, I had a feeling I could be someone, be someone, be someone

You got a fast car

We go cruising, entertain ourselves

You still ain't got a job

So I work in a market as a checkout girl

I know things will get better

You'll find work and I'll get promoted

We'll move out of the shelter

Buy a bigger house, live in the suburbs

So, I remember when we were driving, driving in your car

Speed so fast, I felt like I was drunk

City lights lay out before us

And your arm felt nice wrapped around my shoulder

And I, I, I had a feeling that I belonged

I, I, I had a feeling I could be someone, be someone, be someone

You got a fast car

I got a job that pays all our bills

You stay out drinking late at the bar

See more of your friends than you do of your kids

I'd always hoped for better

Thought maybe together you and me would find it

I got no plans, I ain't going nowhere

Take your fast car and keep on driving

So, I remember when we were driving, driving in your car

Speed so fast, I felt like I was drunk

City lights lay out before us

And your arm felt nice wrapped around my shoulder

And I, I, I had a feeling that I belonged

I, I, I had a feeling I could be someone, be someone, be someone

You got a fast car

Is it fast enough, so you can fly away?

You still gotta make a decision

Leave tonight, or live and die this way

Don't

 DON'T DIE WITH YOUR DEAD.

Did you know that when you cry for your dead, you cry for you and not them?

You cry because you “lost them”, because you don’t HAVE THEM by your side. You think it all ends in death. And you think they are NOT anymore.

So if your dead are gone, where are they?.

Yes they have left, or they are now in another place, Is that place better than this?.

Yes, definitely that place is better than this; so Why do you suffer for their departure?.

When you have finished accepting that they are no longer "NOT here", but they are still in another place even better than this, for there where they are no longer sick, or suffering.

Then you'll stop mourning them and you'll get them back in memory so they keep accompanying you with the joy of all that you've lived.

If you truly loved them LOVE them AGAIN and this time with greater strength, with greater purity, with greater delivery.

Today, there will be no more reproach of any kind.

Only LOVE, will be the essence between you, between us, between them.

I respect your pain, and the way you express it. I know you cry and you will cry without comfort.

But .. Today I say to you:

Don't die with your dead.

Remember we are only seeing one side of the coin.

We are not looking the other way; we are not seeing the wonderful place of light where they stand.

What if we start seeing “death” as a Second Birth?

Second Birth we ALL will go through.

Don't die with your dead, honor them by living your life as they would have wanted you to, let them transcend. And you keep living.

Lesson.

𝗧𝗲𝗻 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺

1. Be financially prepared when entering a relationship.

2. Be secure with yourself; you must love yourself entirely before you can love someone else.

3. Never beg or chase someone who doesn’t wants to be with you.

4. Communication is really important.

5. Don’t be afraid to start over.

6. The right person will always find you at the right time.

7. A heartbreak is a blessing from God.

It's just his way of letting you realize he saved you from the wrong one.

8. Don’t chase attention or affection.

9. It takes time to accept the reality that the other one has left. Accept it as a part of the process.

10. Go where your love is reciprocated, celebrated and appreciated.

Time

BY THE TIME YOU HIT 40, you should be smart enough to realize this:

1) Someone makes 5x more than you do in a 9-5 job because have specialized skills and expertise with high demand.

2) Distractions e parang marshmallows, masarap lang sa una but walang sustansya. It holds you back but also harms your mental sharpness.

3) You shouldn't take advice from people who are not where you want to be in life. No matter how good their intentions are.

4) No one is coming to solve your problems. Your life, your responsibility.

5) 100 self-help books won't change your life. What you really need is to act and stay disciplined.

6) If you didn't go to college for a specialized profession (like a doctor or engineer), learn marketing or sales. It can multiply your income in just three months.

7) No one cares about you. So, bawasan ang hiya, go out there and take your chances.

8 ) If you meet someone smarter, collaborate and not compete.

9) Smoking has ZERO benefits in your life. This habit will only slow your thinking, lower your focus, and can cause lung cancer.

10 ) Eating too much high-carbohydrate food will lead to brain fog and lousiness. Bawas kanin lang.

11) Keep your personal life personal. Hindi lahat kelangan i-share sa social media.

12) Avoid alcohol. It impairs your judgment and can lead to stupid decisions.

13) Always aim high. Settling for the easy option sells your potential short.

14) The family you create is more important than the family you come from.

15) Train yourself to take nothing personally to save yourself from 99.99% of mental problems. #WalaAkongPake

Si Ma@am

WALA NG GUSTONG MAGING TEACHER ANG ANAK NILA..

This is a story in a post-graduation celebration...

Mister Forrest is narrating..

He said,  "the Doctor wants his child to become a doctor,

the Engineer wants his child to become an engineer,

The Businessman wants his ward to become CEO,

BUT a teacher also wants his child to become one of them, as well!

Nobody wants to become a teacher BY CHOICE"

Very sad but that's the truth!!!

He continues His story...

The dinner guests were sitting around the table discussing life.

One man, a CEO, decided to explain the problem with education. He argued, "What's a kid going to learn from someone who decided his best option in life was to become only a teacher?"

To stress his point he said to another guest;

"You're a teacher, Mrs.Bartolome,

Be honest. What do you make?"

Teacher Bartolome, who had a reputation for honesty and frankness replied, "You want to know what I make?

(She paused for a second, then began...)

"Well, I make kids work harder than they ever thought they could.

I make kids sit through 1 hour of class time when their parents can't make them sit for 5 minutes without a cellphone or I-Pod,tablet or movie rental.

You want to know what I make?

(She paused again and looked at each and every person at the table)

I make kids wonder.

I make them question.

I make them apologize and mean it.

I make them have respect and take responsibility for their actions.

I teach them how to write and then I make them write.

Keyboarding isn't everything.

I make them read, read, read.

I make them show all their work in math.

They use their God given brain, not the man-made calculator.

I make my Muslim students learn everything they need to know about Christianity while preserving their unique cultural identity.

I make my classroom a place where all my students feel safe.

Finally, I make them understand that if they use the gifts they

were given, work hard, and follow their hearts, they can succeed in life.

(Mrs.Bartolome paused one last time and then continued.)

Then, when people try to judge me by what I make, with me knowing money isn't everything, I can hold my head up high and pay no attention because they are ignorant. You want to know what I make..??

I MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN ALL YOUR LIVES,

EDUCATING KIDS AND PREPARING THEM TO BECOME CEO's, and DOCTORS AND ENGINEERS..........

What do you make Mr. CEO?

His jaw dropped; he went silent.

THIS IS WORTH SENDING TO EVERY teacher you know!!!

Salute to all teachers.....

#Proud one

Money tips.

 Money TIPS:

✔ Don’t bring your money with you.

✔️ Cook at home.

✔️ Buy your groceries in Public Market not in Malls weekly, not daily, not monthly. (Market: Ampalaya 50/kl vs Mall 147/kl)

✔️ Remove unimportant expenses.

✔️ Lower down the cost of your important expenses. (Ex. Ganador 55/kl while Sinandoming 42/kl)

✔️ Buy your own tumbler and bring your own water. Avoid buying outside. (Natures Spring 500ml 15.00 while if you bring its FREE)

✔️ If you’re not in business don’t buy CAR.

COMMUTE: plete ka 11.00 x 2 x 26days = 572.00/month

WHILE:

CAR Expenses: 15k/month car + 5k/mo gas + 2k/mo parking = 22k/month

✔️ Always set aside 20-30% of your income to your Mandatory/Disciplined SAVINGS.

What makes us POOR is our bad spending habits.

Meron din.

 ALAM MO BA? 😁

Nagcoconvince ba?
