1. Ano ang naging reaction mo noong lumabas yung results ng board exam?
- Nung gabi nang dumating ang results wala talaga akong kaalam-alam kung ano ang nangyari sa social media. Tumawag yung kaibigan ko na EE at sabi niya 'Clynt, 94.8 ang rating mo. Top 4 ka!'.
Bigla akong natulala at nanginig yung katawan ko, parang hindi ko madescribe ang feeling nang tagumpay na aking nararamdaman. Sabay nagtalunan at yakap ko aking mama at papa sa bahay.
Hindi ko akalain na ganun pala kalaki ang aking rating kahit top 4 lang ako. Sumonod na ang mga balita sa social media at parang instant celebrity na ako sa aming Lungsod at sa College ko.
2. Bakit ENGINEERING ang napili mong kurso?
- Nuong high school pa ako, first choice ko ang Marine transportation na course kasi alam na man nang karamihan ay easy money, ikalawang choice ko ay criminology, at ikatlo ang English.
Malabo talaga ang choice ko na mag-engineering kasi may kabobohan ako nuon sa math, solve lang ako kung anong paraan ang alam ko, hindi ko kaya yung mga problem solving na situations. Hindi ko talaga gusto ang math.
Pero, isang araw sabi nang papa ko na "Subukan mo kaya gayahin yung kakilala kong mechanical engineer." at nung nakita ko yung ME na sabi nang papa ko ay nainspired ako mag-ME at sa wakas meron na akong napili na kurso.
Feel mo yung childish na desire na masarap pakinggan ang may engineer sa simula nang pangalan mo, pero nanduon din ang tanong kung makakaya ko bang kainin ang mga numero at formula na hindi talaga gusto nang utak at puso ko.
Isa na rin sa mga rason na napili ko ang mechanical engineering kasi nakuha ako sa scholarship nang Wilmar Edible Oils Phil.Inc. Na kung hindi sa program na ito ay nag-Electrical na yata ako kasi meron din akong pagtingin sa electromagnetics.
3. Ano yung pinakamahirap na situation o challenge ang na-experience mo noong college ka? at papano mo ito nalampasan?
- Unang challenge ko ay ang pag-tackle ko nang algebra at trigo. Nuon pa man ay hindi ko talaga love ang algebra at trigo. Nung ikalawang meeting namin sa college algebra feel ko parang lalabas na yata ako nang room kasi nagsiliparan na ang utak ko sa pag-intindi nang lesson sa blackboard, hanggang na realize ko na kailangan ko lang pala nang kaunting sipag para malampasan ang hirap nang lessons.
Pagdating nang trigo meyroong particular problem doon na nag-invovle ang Algebra at Pythagorean theorem; nasolve ko ita at narealize ko na meron pala akong kaya sa subject na ito at doon ako nainspire na mag-aral nang maigi sa lahat nang engineering subjects.
Pinag-aralan ko ang mga weaknesses ko hanggang nakita ko ang mga resulta na nagdominate na pala ako sa lahat nang kaklase ko, at duon ko na nagustohan ang mga pinakakatakutang subject nang puso ko.

- Hindi pa ako masyadong certain sa kung saan ako papalarin sa aking profession parang maaga pa na sabihing struggle pa or success na ako sa career ko, pero certain ako na sa mga panahong ito ay may specialization na ako na pinapractice ko, baka nanduon lang sa Industrial plant or Designing na Field.
5. Anong ang message o mabibigay mong advice at study tips para sa mga engineering students na aspiring engineers at gusto ding maging topnotcher katulad mo?
- Ang engineering ay isang kurso na hindi talaga madali. Meron tayong subject na paborito, meron din tayong weakness. Improve niyo lang ang mga kalakasan niyo at double time lang sa mga kahinaan. Darating din ang oras na master mo ang mga kahinaan niyo.

A. Improve sa mga weaknesses hanggang master mo na ito.
B. Learn the basics. Lahat nang mastery ay nagsimula talaga sa basic. Level 1 muna bago level up.
C. Learn the concept. Kapag nag-aaral ng isang topic, kulang lang ang pagmemorize nang mga formulas, dapat kuha mo rin ang concept.
