If You Miss the BOARD EXAM this Year, to Many You Remain Dear

Don't worry if you didn't reach the passing mark in this year's board examination.

Based on your rigid academic training, I really guess that you passed in many parts but lack some points in just few sections.

Even if you didn't make it this year, the TRUTH is, you know many things in your profession more than an ordinary board passer does.

You are good in your profession. That's how I and many people appreciate you.

Many people love you and that won't change because of the board examination result.

Taking the board is a bit of luck. You may or you may not pass. You might have missed it because board exam performance is not purely academic. It also depends on numerous external factors. This time is not yours but there's another time meant for you.

If you assess your entire life, you have been very BLESSED AND LUCKY in so many things and in so many times. Missing the board this year is just a minor thing compared to the tens of BIG BLESSINGS AND LUCKS you have had.

MY ADVICE:

1. STOP THINKING OF THE BOARD RESULT. You can't do anything about it anymore.

2. ASSESS what you have done related to board preparations. In board examinations, THERE'S NO SUBSTITUTE FOR PREPARATION EXCEPT PREPARATION ITSELF.

3. IDENTIFY all your mistakes in your board preparation approach.

4. LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES.

5. HAPPILY talk to your parents, relatives, friends and love ones what made you miss the board and how will you eagerly attack it the next time around.

As many say, think positively always. There are vast bright opportunities waiting ahead for positive thinkers.

I, your parents, relatives, friends and love ones are optimistic that, in the near future, you'll be one of the big contributors to national development because of your profession and potentials.

That's all and God bless the future of your career.

ADDENDUM:

Is the attached picture a sunrise or a sunset?

I personally took this picture from Hong Kong airspace on 26 December 2018. As a mind exercise, I want you to view this as a sunrise rather than a sunset. Do it 3 times. In that way, you tend to view things more of an opening promising future rather than a spoiled past. Make this your daily habit.

Alone again naturally.

 Alone Again

Song by Gilbert O'Sullivan

Main Results

In a little while from nowIf I'm not feeling any less sourI promise myself to treat myselfAnd visit a nearby towerAnd climbing to the topWill throw myself offIn an effort toMake it clear to whoeverWants to know what it's like when you're shattered
Left standing in the lurch at a churchWere people saying, My God, that's toughShe stood him upNo point in us remainingWe may as well go homeAs I did on my ownAlone again, naturally
To think that only yesterdayI was cheerful, bright and gayLooking forward to who wouldn't doThe role I was about to playBut as if to knock me downReality came aroundAnd without so much as a mere touchCut me into little pieces
Leaving me to doubtTalk about, God in His mercyOh, if he really does existWhy did he desert meIn my hour of needI truly am indeedAlone again, naturally
It seems to me thatThere are more hearts broken in the worldThat can't be mendedLeft unattendedWhat do we doWhat do we do
Alone again, naturally
Looking back over the yearsAnd whatever else that appearsI remember I cried when my father diedNever wishing to hide the tearsAnd at sixty-five years oldMy mother, God rest her soulCouldn't understand why the only manShe had ever loved had been takenLeaving her to startWith a heart so badly brokenDespite encouragement from meNo words were ever spokenAnd when she passed awayI cried and cried all dayAlone again, naturallyAlone again, naturally

Prebiotics Probiotics Butyrate.

What is the Gut Microbiome?

Understanding the gut before changing your diet or considering supplements is essential. The gut microbiome is a complex system made up of microorganisms and is found in the large intestine.

A popular way of discussing the gut microbiome talks about good bacteria and harmful bacteria. The good bacteria found in your gut will help digest food and work all over your body to improve your physical and mental health.

When food is broken down in the digestive tract, nutrients are turned into things your body can use. A healthy balance is created in your gut when the good bacteria multiply, restricting the space available for harmful bacteria to grow. This healthy balance is called equilibrium.

Too many harmful bacteria can cause IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), Crohn’s disease, and ulcerative colitis. This underlines the importance of maintaining a healthy balance with good bacteria.

Research has also linked the production of TMAO (trimethylamine-N-oxide), a chemical made by some gut bacteria when you eat certain foods such as eggs and red meat, to the build-up of cholesterol leading to heart disease. This can also lead to chronic kidney disease.

Studies have also shown that your brain can also be affected by the balance of gut bacteria. It can impact your senses, as well as affect mental illnesses such as anxiety and depression.

Your appetite can also be affected by your pituitary gland getting crossed signals concerning your hunger levels. This can lead to obesity and the health-related issues that come with it.

The way you live your life and your diet will determine your microbiome. That is why making slight alterations can improve your general health and wellbeing.

A balanced diet and a healthy blend of probiotics, prebiotics, and postbiotics can make a difference. Other, more serious ways of altering your gut microbiome include fecal transplants and deep transcranial magnetic stimulation (dTMS), which is used to change gut bacteria by stimulating the brain.

What are Probiotics, Prebiotics, and Postbiotics?

Put simply, probiotics are live microbes that should give us health benefits when ingested, prebiotics are foods that benefit the healthy bacteria in our guts, and postbiotics are the chemicals produced in our gut to help our system.

In order to better understand the part that probiotics, prebiotics, and postbiotics play in our system, here’s a more detailed breakdown of each;

Prebiotics

Prebiotics are the nutrients found in our food that we aren’t able to digest. They feed the bacteria and promote growth.

To be classed as a prebiotic, it must stimulate the activity or growth of microbes that are beneficial to our health. Most prebiotic molecules are found in plant fibers and can be broken down into the following types;

  • Fructooligosaccharides (FOS) – Fructooligosaccharides can be found in onions, artichokes, bananas, leeks, garlic, grains, asparagus, wheat, and other fruits and vegetables.
  • Inulin – Inulin can be found in asparagus, bananas, burdock, chicory, dandelion root, garlic, leeks. It can even be found in some processed foods to replace fat, such as yogurt, cheese, and ice cream.
  • Galactooligosaccharides (GOS) – Galactooligosaccharides can be found in beans, some root vegetables, chickpeas, and lentils.
  • Beta-glucan – Beta-glucan is found in oats, barley, mushrooms, algae, and seaweed.

Probiotics

Probiotics are live microorganisms that will provide more diversity of bacteria in the gut and increase their numbers.

The benefit of incorporating probiotics into your diet is that they can aid digestion, reduce the pathogenic microbes (harmful bacteria) in your gut, produce helpful chemicals, and improve your immune system.

By altering your diet, you will be able to get a natural source of probiotics. Probiotics can be found in many foods, including;

Yogurt

Yogurt is made by fermenting milk with lactic acid bacteria as well as bifidobacteria. Yogurt promotes better bone health and can help to reduce blood pressure. It can also be an excellent way to relieve some irritable bowel symptoms like diarrhea.

It is essential to check the labeling on yogurt to ensure it contains live and active cultures and that there isn’t a high sugar level.

Miso

The Japanese seasoning Miso is traditionally made with fermented soybeans, salt, and koji (a type of fungus). It can also be made by mixing the soybeans with rye, rice, or barley.

It is most commonly used in miso soup and is high in vitamin K, copper, and manganese, and is an excellent way to get protein and fiber into your diet.

Studies have shown links between consuming miso and reduced risks of breast cancer and strokes.

Kefir

Made by adding kefir grains to milk, it is a probiotic milk drink that has been linked with a number of health benefits, including protecting against infections and improving digestive issues.

Kefir is a better probiotic than yogurt and can also be tolerated by lactose-intolerant people.

Sour pickles

Pickles, also known as gherkins, are cucumbers that are pickled in saltwater. When left to ferment, the lactic acid bacteria present gives them a sour taste.

Pickles are a good source of healthy bacteria and vitamin K and provide nutrients essential for blood clotting. However, cucumber pickled in vinegar will not contain active probiotics.

Acidophilus milk

Acidophilus milk contains the healthy bacteria Lactobacillus acidophilus. This probiotic drink is reported to suppress toxin-producing organisms, helping to improve gut health.

Other benefits Acidophilus milk is reported to have include properties that help reduce cholesterol, reduce and even prevent diarrhea and other symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome, and promote weight loss.

Soft cheeses

Not all cheeses will contain active cultures, so it is always advised to check the labeling. Cheeses like Gouda, mozzarella, cottage cheese, and cheddar are all nutritious sources of protein. You will also find a good level of minerals and vitamins, including calcium, phosphorus, selenium, and vitamin B12.

Tempeh

Tempeh is made from fermented soybeans and is used as a meat substitute due to its high protein levels and because it is formed into a patty.

Fermenting the soybeans reduces the phytic acid and increases the minerals you will be able to absorb. Fermentation also produces vitamin B12.

Kimchi

Kimchi is typically made from fermented cabbage but can use other vegetables. The cabbage is rich in iron, vitamin B, vitamin K, and lactic acid bacteria that can help digestive health.

Kombucha

This is a black or green fermented tea drink that contains yeast and healthy bacteria and is particularly popular in Asia.

It is claimed the glucaric acid present in kombucha can cleanse and detox the liver, kidneys, and pancreas. In addition, D-saccharic acid-1, 4-lactone (DSL) is said to support the immune system and improve digestion.

There are a number of other reported benefits, including an increase in energy levels and metabolism and a reduction in joint pain.

Natto

Natto is another dish made by fermenting soybeans. It is a nutritious option that can offer fiber, protein, manganese, iron, copper, vitamin K1, magnesium, calcium, vitamin C, potassium, zinc, and selenium, all in one meal.

The fermentation process promotes the growth of healthy probiotics that will help improve your digestive health.

Postbiotics

The waste molecules produced by the microbes in your gut are known as metabolites. Metabolites, cells that your microbiome produces, and dead cells are known collectively as postbiotics.

Hundreds of postbiotic chemicals are produced in this way, and all play a different part in your overall health and wellbeing. Some of these include;

  • Antimicrobial molecules – Antimicrobial molecules fight off and kill harmful microbes.
  • Bacterial fragments and cells – Bacterial fragments and cells play a vital role in priming your immune system, so it is in a position to fight infections.
  • Short-chain fatty acids – Short-chain fatty acids have a variety of critical roles in your body’s health. They have anti-inflammatory effects, influence your metabolism, signal to your body and brain, and maintain a healthy gut lining.
  • Vitamins B and K – Vitamins B and K help with blood clotting and maintaining cell health.

Maintaining a healthy microbiome

To ensure you maintain a healthy microbiome, it is essential that you have a healthy diet and lifestyle. The right foods will help to promote the growth of microbes in your gut. Stress can also impact your microbiome, with short-term stress affecting your appetite and digestion and long-term stress triggering gastrointestinal issues.

As well as ensuring your diet is healthy, it is also possible to take a dietary supplement designed to promote beneficial bacteria and improve overall gut health.

Final Thoughts

As with most supplements aimed at boosting human health, results will vary. Anyone taking supplements with the objective of supporting gut health is also likely to have made other lifestyle changes such as improving dietary habits or exercising more. This makes it challenging to monitor the positive effects of Bio Complete 3 on its own.

With minimal human testing on some of the ingredients aimed at boosting the good gut bacteria in your system and quite limited information on the ingredients, it is difficult to say how successful Bio Complete 3 should be in theory without more clinical research.

Anyone that is suffering from poor digestive symptoms should always consult their qualified healthcare provider to ensure they are getting enough dietary fiber from their diet.

There is not much, if any, evidence supporting Gundry’s claims that taking Bio Complete 3 will help you lose weight or give you higher energy levels. However, the ingredients used are shown to have some properties that will benefit the human microbiome, which can then improve overall human health.

When coupled with a healthier lifestyle, users may find that Bio Complete 3 does help their digestive system.

Better

Rather than living your life proving your detractors wrong, defending the self from false accusations, doubts, negative criticism, and hate which will continuously make you unhappy, it would be a better idea to wrap your arms around your supporters, the people who believe in you and those who think you will succeed then work like crazy to prove them right.

Proving detractors wrong will not be more powerful than proving your supporters right.

Steve jobs' last word in life.

You can employ someone to drive the car for you, make money for you but you cannot have someone to bear the sickness for you.

When a person goes into the operating room, he will realize that there is one book that he has yet to finish reading – "Book of Healthy Life.”

  • wearing a $300 or $30 watch - they both tell the same time...
  • Whether we carry a $300 or $30 wallet/handbag - the amount of money inside is the same;
  • Whether we drive a $150,000 car or a $30,000 car, the road and distance is the same, and we get to the same destination.
  • Whether we drink a bottle of $300 or $10 wine - the hangover is the same;
  • Whether the house we live in is 300 or 3000 sq ft - loneliness is the same.

Why?

Why are many now migrating permanently to the Philippines?

Hello. I am a lawyer in the Philippines and I have had a lot of clients who are from the US and the UK who have migrated to the Philippines. They are living as permanent residents and have made the Philippines their retirement home. Here are some of the reasons they gave me which I will share here:

  1. The standard of living is low in the Philippines. Their retirement money buys more in the Philippines than it would in their home country. If they get a basic pension of about $2000 a month, that is like P100,000.00 in the Philippines. They can buy a condo or rent one and live in comfort. They can even hire someone to do the household chores.
  2. They love the weather here. It's mostly sunny, and when it gets too hot, they can usually afford air conditioning in their homes. When it does rain, it does so for just a few days at a time. Most of them hate the thought of coping with winter at their age, shoveling snow from the driveway or shoveling their car out from being buried under a ton of snow.
  3. The Philippines is a country of great biodiversity. They settle outside Manila, some in the provinces where the beach is a 5-minute walk away, and the mountains are in their backyard. And it doesn't cost too much to experience natural wonders here. Some retirees who have worked hard all their lives want to explore nature, enjoy the beauty of nature, and live near it.
  4. They can establish businesses and invest here. I know a few expatriates who have established businesses in the Philippines. I know one who has built a bar and restaurant. I know one who started a small sushi place. I know one who runs a bed and breakfast. They find it easy to start a business using their retirement money as capital. Some of them marry Filipinos and run the businesses with their spouses or partners.
  5. Some retirees actually find love in the Philippines. They marry Filipinos and have children. It is easier to support a family and to raise children in the Philippines. A good education costs cheaper in the Philippines than in their home countries.
  6. They find an extended family here. For foreigners who have found partners and spouses in the Philippines, they usually also find an extended family. In the Philippines, we have very few nursing homes. We tend to care for the elderly members of our families in our intergenerational homes. The extended family system is the Filipinos' social support. Some foreigners without immediate families in their native countries, because they are divorced or widowers, want to grow old surrounded by some kind of family, even if it is an adoptive family or a family by affinity. They do not want to die alone in a nursing home so they establish a family in the Philippines.
  7. It is easy to get medical treatment in the Philippines. Again, hospitalization in the Philippines is a fraction of what it would cost in other Western countries. Medications here do not cost as much, either.
  8. Filipinos speak English. It is easy for foreigners to live in the country because Filipinos understand English. One of the official languages of government is English. TV programs are in English. The news is in English. Traffic signs are in English, as well.
  9. Most Filipinos are hospitable and welcoming to foreigners. We are not generally hostile to foreigners. Foreigners find it easy to be socially mobile in the Philippines.
  10. The food in the Philippines is cheap. There is a great variety of cuisines they can enjoy. The Philippines has local as well as imported food available in the market.

The Philippines has been marketed as a retirement destination. It is more fun in the Philippines.

Why do

Why do most people know they need to start a business or become an investor, but ultimately do nothing?

A friend of mine specializes in human behavior so I asked him this question…

His answer was not what I was expecting.

It’s not because they don’t have the money. Ask any drug dealer, they NEVER have a money problem. Addicts can ALWAYS get money.

So, I’m pretty sure that means the rest of us can too.

It’s not because they don’t have the time. There is not a single person alive today who could not become more efficient with their time.

It's because they don’t have... confidence.

The rest are excuses we make up to hide the fact that we don’t have the confidence.

I used to teach a course that focused on this. There were three parts: BE. DO.

HAVE. (I did not create this, but found great value in it.)

The first step, BE, dealt with confidence. Because once you have the confidence you can take action (DO). Once you start taking action you will HAVE.

BE. DO. HAVE.

So, ask yourself, “Who do I need to BE” in order to HAVE my goals come true?

You need to BE a person with confidence. To get confidence you need two things:

1.   Knowledge

2.   Experience

Knowledge is actually pretty easy to get. It’s everywhere in this day and age. The hardest part is knowing the knowledge you get is honest and true. With the

Internet today EVERYONE is claiming to be an “expert” or a “guru”.

Take my quiz so you can get knowledge from a TRUE expert

This is one of the reasons I introduce you to my friends, partners and trusted advisors. I do this to help you know that the person I am introducing you to is the real deal.

He/she walks-the-walk. They don’t just talk-the-talk.

That takes us to the second thing you need to build confidence… experience.

Until you get your own experience, you have to rely on the experience of your teacher. The person giving you their knowledge better have a lot of experience. If they are “faking it until they make it” run away... FAST!

Take my quiz so you can get knowledge from an EXPERIENCED expert

Stop doing nothing.

BE. DO. HAVE.
