You can really see the difference between Duterte and Robredo’s term compared to the current administration of Marcos and Sara Duterte. When Leni Robredo was Vice President, she and Duterte had very different political stances and beliefs. Many people doubted her victory, thinking that working alongside Duterte would lead to chaos, misunderstandings, and conflicts that could divide the country.

However, none of that happened. Why? Because former VP Leni Robredo prioritized professionalism. Even though she disagreed with some of Duterte’s plans, she did not openly reject them just for the sake of opposition. Instead, she focused on serving the Filipino people. She was fully aware that if she clashed with FPRRD, it could create national instability and negatively impact millions of Filipinos. So, she chose to stay consistent, professional, and dedicated to public service.

And even after leaving office, you’ll notice that she has never spoken ill of the Dutertes. That alone speaks volumes about her character as a public official—she put the country above political colors. She adapted to Duterte’s system when necessary, ensuring that her service to the people remained her top priority. That is why I admire this woman so much, not as a VP, but as a true leader for the country. 👆🩷

Filipinos had high expectations for the unity promised by BBM and Sara, but look at them now—where is that unity? If you compare it to Atty. Robredo, even though she didn’t get to work alongside the president she supported (Mar Roxas), she remained professional in front of the people. She endured a challenging system to maintain peace in the country, putting the welfare of Filipinos above political divisions, at ayan ang totoong GOOD GOVERNANCE.
