Isang araw. When Life gives you Tangerines.

One day, we’ll leave home. School will end, and life will move forward. We’ll get busy with work, new places, new people.

But our parents will still be there. In the same house. Doing the same things. Waiting quietly.

They won’t tell us they’re lonely. Instead, they’ll ask if we’ve eaten or if we’re sleeping enough.

We’ll often say we’ll call tomorrow. Visit next week. But time passes. And we don’t.

They grow older while they wait. They check their phones more often. They prepare meals we never show up for.

Then one day, we’ll come home and notice what we’ve missed. The silence. The slow steps. The way everything feels a little more fragile.

And we’ll wish we came home more.

So while we still can, let’s show up. Not just for holidays, but on regular days too. Call them. Sit with them. Be there.

Because one day, they won’t be waiting at the door.
