My Plate.

Walk the Talk: The Physician’s Plate
Every meal is a message.
As a doctor and health reform advocate, I believe that wellness begins with what we place on our plate — and how we live each day.
My daily ritual reflects the principles of the Blue Zone and the Ikigai journey — eating mindfully, moving intentionally, and living with purpose.
Today’s lunch:
• Brown rice for sustained energy
• Boiled egg for clean protein
• Tofu and greens for fiber and heart health
• Purple yam and papaya for antioxidants and natural sweetness
Low sugar. Low salt. Low fat. High discipline.
Reaching and maintaining an ideal body weight reduces the risk of lifestyle diseases — hypertension, diabetes, and heart disease.
A landmark study from the JAMA Network found that walking 7,000 steps daily lowers mortality risk by up to 50%.
Exercise is medicine — and consistency is the cure.
Live simply. Eat wisely. Move daily.
Health is not a destination; it’s a lifelong journey toward balance, gratitude, and purpose.
