What if the life you're complaining about...

What if the life you're complaining about is the very life someone else is praying for?
You complain about your job, while someone is desperately looking for work. You complain about how exhausting life has become, forgetting that being alive is itself a blessing.
In one of his homilies, Fr Jerry Orbos said, “Ang taong complain nang complain, hindi makita ’yung blessing.”
And that hits differently when you realize how easily complaining becomes a habit.
We become so focused on what's going wrong that we barely notice what's still going right.
Fr. Jerry reminds us, “Complain less. Trust God more.”
Of course, this doesn't mean our struggles aren't real. We can be tired, disappointed, and still have every reason to bring our concerns to God.
But there's a difference between acknowledging our difficulties and allowing complaints to define how we see our lives.
Maybe we don't need a perfect life to find peace. We need a heart that can still recognize God's goodness in the middle of it.
Lord, teach us to complain less, trust You more, and appreciate what we already have.
