Justice kay Dormitorio.
Baguio City – Hinatulan na ng Baguio City Prosecutor’s Office ang military cadets at officers na iniuugnay sa hazing death ni Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Cadet 4th Class Darwin Dormitorio noong nakaraang taon.
Sa resolusyon, inirekomenda ng panel of prosecutors ang indictment kay PMA 3rd Class Cadets Shalimar Imperial at Felix Lumbag Jr. ang murder sa hazing death ni Dormitorio noong September 18, 2019.
Inakusahan din ng murder sina PMA Station Hospital- Capt. Flor Apple Apostol, Maj. Ofelia Beloy at Lt. Colonel Ceasar Candelaria.
Mahaharap naman si PMA Cadet Julius Tadena ng hazing at less serious physical injuries habang si 2nd Class Cadet Christian Zacarias ay mahaharap naman sa slight physical injuries.
Na-dismiss din ang reklamo laban kila 1st Class Cadet Rey Sanopao, 3rd Class Cadet Rey David John Volante, 3rd Class Cadet John Vincent Manalo, Maj. Rex Bolo at Capt. Jeffrey Batistiana dahil sa kakulangan ng probable cause gayundin kila PMA Superintendent Lt. Gen. Ronnie Evangelista at Brig. Gen. Bartolome Vicente Bacarro.
Batay sa abogado ng pamilya ni Dormitorio na si Jose Adrian Bonifacio, natanggap na ng kanyang kliyente ang kopya ng resolusyon,
“It is worth to note that this is the first case to be filed under the new anti-hazing law,” dagdag pa ni Bonifacio. RNT/FGDC
