Subject: Request for Meter Verification and Investigation of Unusually High Electric Bills (CAN 0554913777)
Good day.
I am writing to formally request a review, investigation, and meter verification regarding the sudden increase in our electricity consumption and billing.
We are currently tenants of the property and have been closely monitoring our electricity expenses. Based on our records, our electricity consumption remained relatively stable from February to April 2026, but suddenly increased significantly beginning May 2026 despite circumstances that should have reduced our overall consumption.
Below is a summary of our recent bills:

We are concerned because our consumption suddenly increased from approximately 600 kWh to more than 1,000 kWh, resulting in our monthly bill increasing from approximately ₱8,500–₱9,500 to over ₱16,000+.
We respectfully wish to bring the following circumstances to your attention:
1. Beginning February 2026, one room within the rented premises became completely vacant after my sibling moved to another residence. The appliances and electrical devices previously used in that room have no longer been in operation. Because of this, we expected our electricity consumption to decrease.
2. During the May 2026 billing period, our household was unoccupied for approximately nineteen (19) days due to Holy Week activities and a family vacation. Despite our prolonged absence, our recorded consumption still exceeded 1,000 kWh.
3. No new appliances, equipment, or printing machines were purchased, installed, or added during this period.
4. Our printing operations remained generally the same as previous months.
5. We only use two (3) air-conditioning units during nighttime and maintain one (1) personal freezer
6. We also have a television unit in the household; however, it is rarely used since most of our entertainment and viewing activities are now done through laptops and mobile phones. As such, the television contributes very minimally to our overall electricity consumption.
Considering these circumstances, we find it difficult to understand the sudden increase in consumption from approximately 598 kWh in April 2026 to 1,030 kWh in May 2026 and 1,048 kWh in June 2026.
In view of the foregoing, we respectfully request:
Verification of the meter readings used for May and June 2026;
Inspection and testing of our electric meter to determine its accuracy and proper functioning;
Review of our billing computation and historical consumption records;
Investigation of any possible meter malfunction, electrical leakage, incorrect meter reading, or other factors that may have contributed to the sudden increase in consumption;
A written explanation of the findings and basis of the billed consumption.
As tenants of the property, we are concerned about the sudden and substantial increase in our electricity consumption and billing despite reduced occupancy, no additional appliances, and our extended absence during the May billing period. We therefore respectfully request a thorough investigation and meter verification to determine the cause of the increase.

Naemail kona kayo ng ilan beses, ilan email na din ginamit ko but no respond!!!!!!! Hindi porket wala kaming choice and may capacity kami to pay e sasamantalahin nyo na!! Wala kaming palya sa pag babayad dahil naka auto debit yan every labas ng SOA minsan super advance at sobra pa binabayad sainyo! Para wala ako maxado iniintindi sa pagbabayad!!!
