Let me break it down real quick π
Vietnam is kinda killing it lately:
π GDP growth hit 8% in 2025 – one of the fastest in Asia
π° Poverty rate dropped to just ~1% (yes, ONE percent)
π Factories everywhere – Samsung, Apple, Nike all moved in
π Infrastructure spending at 7% of GDP – new highways, ports, airports
π Education ranked #1 in Southeast Asia for reading skills
π Tourism bounced back hard – 21 million visitors in 2025
π§ Corruption? Much lower than most neighbors
Meanwhile, the Philippines π΅π is struggling with:
π GDP targets getting cut
π§ Infrastructure projects getting canceled (corruption issues)
π 9 out of 10 Grade 5 students can't read properly
πΈ Too reliant on OFW remittances and BPOs
π Political instability = high risk rating
BOTTOM LINE: Vietnam focused on long-term planning, education, and manufacturing. The Philippines has the potential but keeps getting in its own way.
Not hating – just facts. π»π³π
