Vietnam doing better.

So someone asked me… why is Vietnam doing better than the Philippines right now? πŸ‡»πŸ‡³ vs πŸ‡΅πŸ‡

Let me break it down real quick πŸ‘‡

Vietnam is kinda killing it lately:

πŸ“ˆ GDP growth hit 8% in 2025 – one of the fastest in Asia

πŸ’° Poverty rate dropped to just ~1% (yes, ONE percent)

🏭 Factories everywhere – Samsung, Apple, Nike all moved in

πŸš† Infrastructure spending at 7% of GDP – new highways, ports, airports

πŸ“š Education ranked #1 in Southeast Asia for reading skills

🌏 Tourism bounced back hard – 21 million visitors in 2025

🧠 Corruption? Much lower than most neighbors

Meanwhile, the Philippines πŸ‡΅πŸ‡ is struggling with:

πŸ“‰ GDP targets getting cut

🚧 Infrastructure projects getting canceled (corruption issues)

πŸ“– 9 out of 10 Grade 5 students can't read properly

πŸ’Έ Too reliant on OFW remittances and BPOs

πŸ›‘ Political instability = high risk rating

BOTTOM LINE: Vietnam focused on long-term planning, education, and manufacturing. The Philippines has the potential but keeps getting in its own way.

Not hating – just facts. πŸ‡»πŸ‡³πŸ‘
