The greatest threat to Filipino lives today is not just inside the hospital—it is in the absence of preventive health measures outside of it.
📉 Lifestyle diseases are soaring, yet we remain trapped in a system where hospitalization is unaffordable, and PhilHealth defunding has stripped away our safety net.
We cannot wait for leaders who failed us.
We cannot always rely on a Supreme Court decision that struck down our lifeline. It’s a good thing that unconstitutional transfer of 60 B was decided in our favor!
If we cannot change our environment, then we must change ourselves:
• Count calories, demand food labeling
• Embrace public health education
• Commit to exercise and daily movement
• Build a culture of prevention, not reaction
This is not just about health—it is about dignity, survival, and justice.
The hospital should be the last line of defense, not the first.
A healthier Philippines begins with the choices we make today.
