1. Use multimeter and set to 1k ohms.

2. Put the probe in the plug.

3. Turn ON the electric fan (1,2,3)

4. If NO reading.

5. Open the back side of the electric fan.

6. Check the two wire at the capacitor.

7. Set the multimeter to 1k ohms.

8. If there is reading the motor windings is GOOD.

9. If there is NO reading the motor windings is OPEN/DEFECTIVE.

10. Time to check the THERMAL FUSE.

11.  Set the multimeter to 1k ohms.

12. If there is reading the THERMAL FUSE is GOOD.

13. If there is NO reading the THERMAL FUSE is OPEN/DEFECTIVE.
