Go cavite

To all SENIOR CITIZENS, BARANGAY OFFICIALS and ESTABLISMENT OWNERS/MANAGERS of Bacoor Cavite, please be informed of the POLICY issued by the Office of the City Administrator, consistent with the IATF – EID Guidelines, to wilt:

SENIOR CITIZENS:
• are prohibited from going out of their respective households considering the risk of COVID-19 infection and the high rate of mortality among them;
•  should not be identified as recipients of money remittance or any transaction that will require them to go out and personally receive money or items;

BARANGAYS:
• shall not issue Quarantine Pass to Senior Citizens; if one is issued, said quarantine pass shall be confiscated and the barangay shall replace it to the name of another able-bodied member of the household who is not otherwise disqualified for a Quarantine Pass;
• re not allowed to issue any certification, travel pass, or any document that will otherwise allow a senior citizen to go out and buy their needs; instead, the barangay officials must ascertain the actual living condition of the senior citizen and if indeed there are no relatives or neighbors who may be authorized to transact in behalf of the said senior citizen (“isolated”); ultimately, the barangay officials shall make necessary arrangements with available frontliners in order to accommodate the needs of the isolated senior citizen(s);

ESTABLISHMENTS:
• shall not allow Senior Citizens to transact and shall advise them in the soonest opportunity to return home for the reasons above stated;
• shall no longer provide SENIOR CITIZEN express lanes because there are no senior citizens to accommodate; instead, the Senior/Pregnant/PWD lane shall be suspended while the Enhanced Community Quarantine is in effect; persons authorized to transact in behalf of the senior citizen will not be given priority unless that person is a medical/health officer or a frontliner with proper identification card;

Kindly assist us in disseminating the above important policies to all barangay officers, senior citizens associations and establishments within your respective jurisdictions. Thank you.

Truly yours,

ATTY. VENUS D. de CASTRO
OSCA, Executive Asst. 1
