Malaking Lie.

THE BIGGEST LIE WE WERE TOLD IS “STUDY HARD, YOU’LL BE SUCCESSFUL.”

(Most African Education system was never designed to make you rich, it was designed to make you obedient.)

If you think success comes from reading hard?

It doesn’t.

You’re only following a system built to make you useful to others but useless to yourself.

Here is the......

1. SCHOOL WAS DESIGNED TO TRAIN EMPLOYEES, NOT THINKERS

From childhood, we were taught to memorize, not to innovate.

We were trained to follow rules, not to question systems.

You learned how to pass exams, not how to create solutions.

Now you have a certificate that proves you can remember things, not build things.

The system never wanted you to think. It wanted you to obey.

2. EDUCATION DOESN’T GUARANTEE SUCCESS ANYWHERE

You can graduate with honors and still be broke.

You can have a master’s degree and still serve someone who dropped out.

You can be intelligent but still irrelevant, if you can’t turn knowledge into value.

The truth is: success doesn’t come from what you know, but from what you apply.

3. THEY SOLD US THE “CERTIFICATE DREAM”

“Go to school, get a degree, get a job.”

But the world has changed, jobs don’t even last anymore.

The system made you believe education was the destination, not just preparation. Now, your diploma is framed on the wall… while you hustle for rent.

4. THE WORLD REWARDS VALUE, NOT DEGREES

The mechanic that solves problems earns more than the graduate that only memorizes theory.

The designer with creativity gets paid more than the scholar with titles.

The marketer who understands people earns more than the intellectual who only understands books.

The truth?

The world doesn’t care how much you studied, it cares how much/many problems you can solve.

5. SCHOOL TEACHES YOU TO FEAR FAILURE

They punished you for mistakes.

They made you believe getting it wrong means you’re not smart.

So now, you play it safe but scared to start anything that could fail.

But in real life, failure is the only teacher that works.

People who fail early learn fast.

People who only pass exams often fail in reality.

6. OUR PARENTS MEANT WELL, BUT THEY WERE ALSO DECEIVED

They grew up in a time when school was power.

But today, skills are power.

They wanted you to “get a good job.”But the modern world doesn’t reward employees — it rewards creators, problem-solvers, and risk-takers.

The formula changed, but the advice didn’t.

7. EDUCATION IS IMPORTANT BUT NOT ENOUGH

School can open your mind.

But only you can open your life.

Books give you knowledge.

But discipline, creativity, and courage give you freedom.

8. CREATE VALUE & SOLVE SOCIETAL CHALLENGES & WIN

The greatest and sure way to win is by creating value of yourself and begine solving existing societal challenges using your skills. Have a skill let you education sharpen those skills.
