Engineering Failure and Success
You know what they say about failure? That it is not the opposite of success. Actually, it is part of success. Engr. Aaron Polancos best exemplifies that proverb, as he topped his Electronics Engineering Licensure Examination in April 2017 after a disappointing ending in college.
He had to retake his exit exam at Mapua Institute of Technology in Manila six times before he was able to pass. In an e-mail interview, he shared that his mother pressured him to graduate on time but unfortunately, he failed to deliver.
Needed The truth of the matter is that Aaron was skeptical about his exit exam. So what is an exit exam? Why other schools do not have an exit exam? According to Mapua University, a student must get a score of at least 70% to pass an exit examination.
A passing mark in an exit examination is one of the prerequisites to enroll in an advanced course or a correlation engineering course. There is no limit as to the number of times a student can retake an exit examination. He / she can fail the exam and retake again, no matter how long it takes.
